Lottery Winners put on ,"Most Stupid Lottery Winners,"list but shouldn't have been on that list?
Part of his problem was he was too trusting. He also seemed to have trouble saying no. His lack of education probably hurt him as well. It's known he never finished high school and one article I read said he never even started high school and had only a 7th grade education. The fact he trusted that lady to manage his money was his biggest mistake.

Florida Fantasy-5 Players
I sound a little harsh in that 2012 article! https://www.sun-sentinel.com/entertainment/events/fl-xpm-2012-08-29-sfl-fantasy-5-98-numbers-20120829-story.html

£148 million Euro Millions lottery winner sells £6.5 million mansion
Open your eyes. They don't have to SAY he's broke. Look at what he sold the mansion for, he did not even break EVEN. A person with millions in the bank does not settle for less on any property, they are trying to get as much as possible. The only seller who settles for less is someone who is either stupid or desperate for money. I realize the article never said he went broke. I came to that conclusion myself. It's pretty obvious. By the way......whether it's pounds or dollars .....148 million is

Lottery scammer stole nearly $1 million from one elderly woman
The article does not state her age, it's easy to point that righteous finger at her. She is a victim plain and simple. Nobody knows her mental status, is she on medications? No matter the circumstances, she is a victim and I feel bad for her, she paid a very high price, thank God they didn't Physically hurt or even kill her.

Virginia woman threw out lottery ticket worth $100,000
That too was my very first thought and kept thinking maybe it'll be in the article later on. Though rare indeed, when I win $600 on pick 3 or 4 here I give the clerk a $20. Honestly cannot remember how much the clerk got for the $5K win since she did the paperwork with my chicken scratch penmanship. (As for snail mail, the IRS paperwork came the NEXT day!)

Massachusetts store clerk steals player's winning scratch-off ticket worth $1,000
The pearl of wisdom I'm taking from this article is: The Lottery highly recommends that players take a photo of the front and back of their tickets and download the Lottery's mobile app to check winnings on their phone. If the lottery app is available in your state it is an invaluable assistant to prevent being scammed.

$731.1 million Powerball jackpot claimed by anonymous group in Maryland
No, a lone ticket means it was only one ticket with one set of numbers on it. The article also says it was was the only ticket the group purchased which was a quick pick. The conclusion being one person purchased a $2 dollar quick pick, realized at some point he/she won the 731 million dollar jackpot. Upon thinking about the win, became afraid to have that much money all to themselves, decided to asks family/friends to form the group The Power Pack . All of this from one $2 QP ticket. Goes to sh

NJ man admits running illegal "Pick 6" lottery, evades $65,000 in taxes
There are several of these illegal so-called Pick 6 lotteries operating in New Jersey. The lure is that the rules for winning are different. For their $20 the Player picks 6 numbers and registers them. The actual N.J. Lottery daily Pick 6 drawing is used like the drawing of Bingo balls, so over the course of several drawings whichever players gets all of their registered six numbers first wins the pot, which usually ranges from about $25,000 to $100,000. I never played it because there is no gua
