Saw a Shooting Star
Good Morning LP family, Last night as I was driving home, I happened to look up in the night sky and saw a bright shooting star falling out of the sky. I watched it until it disappeared. I wondered if I should have made a wish, but the sight was so spectacular I simply stared and felt a tingling as I watched it. May I please have some numbers for this actual event? My mind is telling me that this is significant. Thank you and have a blessed prosperous day, today and EVERY day!

Is Scratch off Lottery (SOL) fair to all?
I'm not sure how the process of SOL printing and distribution work but I feel like it may not be fair to all participants. For e.g. let's say there is a lottery with 4 X 1 million dollar prizes and you enter the fray when top 3 prizes had been already taken as opposed when there were 4 unclaimed prizes i.e. when the game began. Do you think odds of winning still apply whether 1 top prize left or 4 top prize left? Does lottery spread top prizes across the distribution or it is randomly mixed?

Thanks calabs! This time around the digit 0 in the second position was missing for the first two rounds of draws appeared in the third round of draws yesterday May 18, 2011. In this thread Hey Now, Hey Wow! A Blockbu$ter Event - Lottery Post Forums the digit 9 had not appeared in the third position for the entire day of draws. I have not done any formal testing, however I have a few scattered notes. We shall see. Their is so much more to uncover.

I honestly doubt that having predraws available to test would help accuracy in predicting digits, or trends. If you take a random sample of a random event, would it change the outcome? Yes. But would it make it more random? No. So, you could get lucky and win or you could get unlucky and lose. Quinto pays 50 grand for a dollar..................that might be the better shot at 50 grand! In any event hope your luck gets better...........it sounds like the front of the books of the new releases might be harsh. On the new instant games its good to scan the tickets just to double check since there are no codes.

Hi, I am also a new member. However, I believe the loosing tickets are for the year in which you win. The loosing tickets must be retained in the event the IRS asks for proof of this deduction when you file your tax return. Good Luck. I hope we both win huge jackpots in 2011 year!!! .

When I was running the office lottery pool, I took an event such as this into account. In the agreement which I drew up, I specified that if the player had joined into the money pool on the previous drawing, and did not make the deadline for the current drawing, they had until the date of the following drawing to pay for that drawing that was missed. This was done in case of illness, injury, or just plain forgetfulness. It was also done for situations such as the one facing the New York Seven. I
