retailers not validating sratch offs
He will have to validate them soon or when someone takes a winner elsewhere to cash in during the week the place you take it can call the lottery if it is not validated and the lottery will call him and tell him to validate it so winners can be cashed in.
Also retailers settle up time for ticket books sold for the week ends Sat at midnight and they have to pay for these books sold the beginning of the week with the lottery so he might be trying to delay payment until the next week for the tic

POLL - On The Whole Do The Lotteries Provide Truly Random Numbers?
I think it would be interesting if a member of LP would explain to the general audience HOW random number generators function.
Personally, I don't think the RNG in the terminal where I buy my QPs scans the total number of combinations available for the
game I'm playing.
The clerk punches the buttons that tell the machine to generate 5 QPs, for example, and Presto, the machine spits out a
ticket with 5 lines.
I've stood behind folks buying 100 QPs. It took some time for the mach

Lottrey Lines
Yea I've never had one tell me to wait or anything and I've never seem them act annoyed or unhappy that I'm buying lottery tickets. They're usually pretty friendly about it.
The only time I've seen a lottery winner told to wait is this guy that had already held up the line for over 5 minutes getting a cashiers check (which took a while since their system is slow), turning in a PB type ticket, buying some scratch-offs, turning in a scratch-off and then finally wanted 50 Texas Two-Step tic

Defective ticket??
Machine was right. I was missing C2.
I had 8 or 9 people check the ticket and we all missed it. Fortunately I called down the and didn't make myself look stupid!
At least in a private forum like this protects me from embaresment.

Arkansas Lottery raffle bonus prizes failed to register
Terminals playing by their own rules? Takes an honest human (reluctant or otherwise) to set the computers straight. The terminals in PA are also
trying to go solo..setting their own clocks and eating tickets they don't seem to like. What is this world coming to? Makes one want to launch an
investigation...at least into the crummy software they rely on daily....definitely into the substandard, heat sensitive, flimsy paper they print
the tickets on. Last week a terminal failed to alert th

Lottery payout complicated by laser printer mishap
How stupid can lottery players be? I wonder if it is only lottery players that are such suckers for punishment that when they get a ticket that has won the jackpot they have to do something to sabatage the whole deal.
I mean come on any village idiot knows that you don't apply heat to thermal paper. Anyone who owned a computer and printer in the 80's or 90's knows about thermal paper. Sh*it, da*mn near all printers were dot matrix or thermal during that time and if you owned a fax machine or

I can't believe it. So Close to 5 numbers on tonights Powerball
I think it does mean something personally. It does mean that the machine did a pattern close to what comes out in real life. Some places just seem to put out strange numbers and I try to avoid them. A cigarette store by me puts out strange numbers and I avoid it, but they did sell a 5/6 PB ticket. A gas station near me seems to put out good numbers and I try to make it there. I have had a bit o luck there, but they haven't sold a big ticket yet. I think that they are due. And the place just look

Bought ticket from haunted lottery terminal
I just went to the store to buy my p-3 tickets for tonight. As I was getting out of the car, an old man approched me asking for 50 cents to make a phone call. I just happened to have two quarters in my pocket. I gave it to him.
I handed my betslips to the Indian clerk who I see just about everyday. Really nice guy. Anyways, I browsed the store to buy some provisions. When I came back to the counter, he told me that after printing p-3 tickets, the computer terminal spit out a lotto ticket for

Lets get a better understanding of what actually wins! Mega Millions
First post is for Powerball - This one is for Mega Millions
Hello fellow Lottery Post members,
I posted the above poll to see if fellow posters can help shed some light on the poll. This information has always bothered me - Is it better to buy single tickets with one line each - or is there any correlation between the timing mechanism in the lottery machine and the number it generates that makes the randomness and combination of the numbers any more likely if any correlation can

Although we all know it has to do with the numbers
