Ohio Lottery switches to Greek operator Intralot
Greek company takes over operation of games
At 11:59 p.m. today, in an office park in Strongsville, state officials and a gaggle of computer technicians, some from Greece, will change how Ohioans get their lottery tickets.
Success will be measured by how few people notice.
What happens inside the 80,000-square-foot, unadorned brick building not far from the Lorain County line is being watched like Y2K, at least in the world of state lotteries.
A lot of people are rooting for us, and

Colorado man who unwittingly split a $4.8M jackpot with scammer is fighting the Colorado Lottery
without Eddie s intervention, Amir would not have won
Well, he probably wouldn't have won, but there's a very small chance that he would have won anyway.
There are two things that are sure. One is that every lottery contract with winners who won prizes that were affected by Tipton's scheme is a contract where there was a mutual mistake as to the facts. When a mutual mistake is about a material fact the contract is potentially voidable, and I'd say that a mistaken belief that the 2/3 of a

My system works.
I figured my post was deleted because I was trying to start a lottery pool. Actually I was not going to take anyone's money. My idea was that I would generate tickets for a number for individuals, we would have these numbers on a contract. Where We all would be responsible for buying And keeping our own tickets That I generated for us. will would have a contract agreement That the individuals on the contract with these numbers if we are to win, we would split the prize.
My system is not 10

Pa. Treasurer considers blocking move to private lottery operator
As more details emerge about the contract for private management of the Pennsylvania Lottery, the state treasurer says he's more concerned, not less, about the legality of the contract.
State Treasurer Rob McCord has previously indicated he'll use his authority to withhold payments to the private Lottery manager if he deems it necessary. And he says he's not heard anything to put his mind at ease.
I haven't made the final decision yet, but right now I certainly am taking a look at this wi

B.C. Lottery faces lawsuit from second problem gambler
I see it as the Casino holding up their end of the deal.
He signed a contract that said they would not pay him his winnings.
It doesn't matter that they didn't catch him before, nobody's perfect.
If he wins in court, everybody gambling junkie with a contract will be tempted to do the same thing.
He claims they violated the contract by allowing him to play but he also violated the contract by playing so it's a wash.
It's called personal responsibility.
It's a great concept.

My $35Million
Here is a fantasy situation that is highly unlikely to become reality.
The lottery is up to 110Million. I have 6000 I've been saving to do this. I buy 3000 tickets, 3000 different numbers.
Unless there is someone in the state who is playing 3001-10,000 or more numbers, that would give me the best odds of winning the jackpot in the state. That is more than the addicts who spend 10-220 everyday 7 days a week for 365 days straight without skipping a single day.

GTECH explains pricey N.J. Lottery contract
Seeking to justify a price tag of nearly $32 million more than a competitor to run the New Jersey's lottery for the next five years, representatives of the state's lottery operator said Wednesday that their system is more convenient for vendors and would result in less down time and lost revenues for the state.
Representatives for GTech, which won a new contract despite bidding $106.7 million to Scientific Games' $75 million, said the higher price comes with more assurance that its terminals

Ky. Lottery Under Fire For Scratch-Off Tickets
The solution to this is pretty simple: start treating lottery employees the way they treat us.
From now on, only 50% of their salaries are guaranteed -- a second prize salary, if you will. Do you think they'll like that?
Bob, Human Resources: Here's your $50,000, John.
John, Lottery Employee: $50,000? My contract says I get $100,000 this year. What's the deal?
Bob: Sorry, John. All the $100,000 contracts were paid out months ago to 5 other employees.
John: What
