Man, I could write a book on this one. So I'll keep it brief... How do you expect the prize pool to grow faster when you're adding 20% more players ??? (Not really- see next item.) UK players will reject this based on the ticket cost and taxable (US portion) jackpots. This is just a test market to see if Powerball can sell a $5+ ticket ( 4= $5.44 US). I think I beg to differ on why MM is falling behind. I wouldn't call it bad luck some fellow just happened to match all the numbers and they got super lucky and win the jackpot. The intention of these games is for someone to win. I don't think it's upon them to decided as to when someone can win. When 4 tickets in a pool of 500,000 are chosen at random to be a winner, the probability that a single ticket wins is 1 in 125,000 (I'm assuming they exclude a winning ticket from being able to win again, i.e. they do random draws without replacement).
