You registered on a lottery forum just so you could slam the Tea Party movement? Amazing.
You must feel incredibly threatened by those know-nothings . If they are so stupid and backwards, I wonder why you feel so threatened. Certainly an enlightened person such as yourself would not worry about a few rabble-rousers?
For someone who criticizes the spelling and crassness of a few protest signs, you're like the pot calling the kettle black. The LP system snipped out your curse

It was me that called Tennessee lottery and complained I was partially responsible for getting the no doubles error corrected i was the person who contacted the state governors office and the Tennessean newspaper. While people in Tennessee might have been upset about the no doubles being drawn not on of them called the governors office and only a few people contacted the newspaper. I backed up my statements to them with facts and numbers history i had to submit proof that there were errors in th

U.S. Congressman wins lottery again
Sensenbrenner is a foe of illegal aliens
U.S. Rep. James Sensenbrenner of Wisconsin, known for his strong opposition to illegal immigration, won the lottery for the third time last week, the Associated Press reported Friday.
The Republican already a millionaire hit it big in 1997 with a $250,000 jackpot in the District of Columbia lottery. Then, last spring, he won $1,000 prize in the Wisconsin lottery, and he won another $1,000 in that lottery last week, the AP said.

a rumor...don imus to join a state lottery for work
Freedom of Speech, Decency laws, all that stuff went out the window about the time MTV started up, and at the same time the ACLU started suing everybody over rights issues.
It seems everybody has a right to say about anything, but we have no rights to NOT hear it.
How many TV shows on the air today would have NEVER made it past the censors 30-40 years ago ? Do we need to see naked butts and hear swearing on prime-time TV ? I'm not an old fuddy-duddy, but I can't be watching the kids 24/7

Lotteries long for 'jackpot fever'
It sounds like we are getting a pretty good consensus here on the odds being too long. I was very frustrated when I posted a protest thread here before PB raised the odds and some people insisted raising the odds would be good for the game. Apparently, I have been completely vindicated. The odds went up and sales went down.
I keep a spreadsheet of what I would do with the money if I won and when the jackpot starts to get over $100 million I already have every dream fulfilled. When it ge

Why did NJ give lottery contract to the highest bidder?
Part 2 of a 3-part look at the New Jersey Lottery
A month after a new contract to operate the New Jersey's lottery was supposed to begin, officials still have not determined whether to go with a new company that bid about $75 million for the five-year pact, or the existing operator which bid nearly $32 million more.
Last fall, the state awarded a new five-year contract to GTech Corp., which bid $106.7 million. With a bid $31.7 million lower, Scientific Games filed a protest saying the stat

new jersey lottery is being shut down
They gave Corzine a budget and he refused to sign it because it didn't include the sales tax increase and some things HE liked were cut. Even if Whitman caused the problem somehow the solution is not to punish the voters over it. McGreedy could have done something about it but he was too busy having a gay affair. I don't get the thing about the Lottery being a state spending thing because mostly THEY make $ from the players (or it couldn't exist) and I don't get how the DMV is not an essenti

Online Lottery Soon to be Illegal/new law
Quote: Originally posted by tww24 on May 12, 2006Write your state senator, and congressman, we all say we'll do it but we don't.
We all need to take 30 minutes, write a protest and submit it. Then we all need to vote !!!!!!
That's good advice. I wrote to my congresswoman last night and it only took a few minutes. I don't have the address but found it easily on google.com, searching for contact of congressional representatives.
My representative happens to be against a ban on assaul

Powerball Back-to-Back Jackpots Set Record
Isn't that what always happens though? They increase the odds, but also raise the jackpot... that's when you have to ask yourself, if you want a big chance to get a little amount of money, or a small chance to get a large amount of money. When it comes down to it the lottery IS luck! There are people here that we know of (and we've almost done it once or twice) that buy entire books of different scratchoffs here. But no big hitters. But then there are other people who go out and buy one ticket,
