Colorado Lottery approves credit card purchases and online ticket sales
Terrible idea. Other states have legalized credit cards to play the lottery because they're greedy. Colorado should not join this club. If the lottery isn't bringing in enough money, the state needs to raise taxes or cut spending (preferably the latter), not fleece the population by dangling easy CC debt in front of them.

Five dollar MM
Good point. I mean I get it... I get both sides. The dollar is worth less because of inflation. But I also see where alot of people no longer have that extra disposable income to buy a ticket. And I just don't think it's a good time right now to raise prices. Again just my opinion. I honestly can't speak for the dollar scratcher thing. Tell you the truth. I have never bought any. I was always told the odds are horrendous with dollar tickets. So I stayed away. I dunno man. It's like nowadays you'

New York- Numbers
I usually go increments of $ 3000 but if you go to check cashing place, you can cash up to $9000 but you have to give you New York State ID and a nice tip. I don't like the government and the government doesn't like me. I pay enough taxes. in the real world

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
But you said, the more money I have to pay in taxes, the higher my income is, and I wouldn't mind that at all . And in my example you would have been better off taking the $1,000,000 because you would have kept $750,000 of it and by taking the $10,000,000 you would have only kept $500,000. So taking the bigger amount wouldn't have been the smart choice. Whether it's tax law or not doesn't matter. You said what you said. And people choose how much they make in a year every time they cha

I forgot it actually is possible to pay 0 taxes on a lottery win and it's what an already wealthy person would likely do if they won. Create a non profit and deposit the entire amount in it. High net worth people do it all the time. It looks very charitable but they use it to buy influence and there are things influence can buy that money can't. Influence also creates more money. If you need a private jet to get to those important meetings that's 100% tax write off under the new big beautifu

$1.7 BILLION: Powerball jackpot juggernaut keeps rolling
It's fine if the pool organizer spends the time on it after work. It's also no big deal if it's a government agency, since they don't do much work anyway LOL. If I ran a small business with a lottery pool, I would make the business a participant. That way, should the pool win the jackpot, the business will get a check that should more than make up for departing employees. $8 million (minus taxes) is a lot of money, but not everyone would quit their job immediately. Some people like their

OMG what is wrong with you? Other than the California state income tax, your post consists of make believe. Presumably the person who wrote no taxes at all meant just that, especially when you consider the fact that the federal income tax is far higher than any state income tax.

Tempted by $700 million Powerball lottery jackpot, N.C. woman wins $2 million in Mega Millions
We probably will not ever know if anyone from Todd lottery post won big but if I win a huge mega millions or Powerball jackpot. I would reach out to Todd and ask him how many people are a member of this platform. After I verified everyone membership with email and ID verification with Todd, I would then give everyone a million and Todd double 2 million and let them know I didn't just win we all won together because after taxes $400 Million I can't take it with me or like my grandma said son you

$1 million Powerball lottery ticket purchased in West Virginia expiring in two weeks
That is a clean $581,800 after both federal and state taxes in WV. I would definitely make good use of such a tidy sum. I hope the winner is till getting their proffesional team in place before coming forward. I put my tickets in the same spot, every single day.
