200 Million!!
The official lottery jackpot for this drawing figure is predicting sales of around 50 million, which would give a probability of 77% for a rollover, as I posted elsewhere. However the last $200M + jackpot, back on April 22 of 2004, had sales of $77.6M, which at today's odds gives a rollover probability of 65%. In this case, with sales in the $70-80M range, the initially announced jackpot would probably rise to about $250M and may even bump up beyond that if lotto fever takes hold. The $295 millio

Lottery Prediction by Recurrence Analysis
Another thing that didn't immediately occur to me is that for the 6-ball loto, each prediction should be a set of 6 numbers. The only way to do this in VRA is to use the multi-step model type, which is using the prediction for time t to make a prediction for time t+1. This type of forecast is by nature inferior to a one-step type, where the actual result at time t is used to make a prediction for time t+1. I hope I am explaining it well. The analogy is forecasting the wheather: it's obvious

Keep Records
In order to do number association you would need to keep records and remember what fell. I've been doing it for so long that when a number falls I know where it has fallen before and what came with it from years back. Like when 156 fell in SC. I knew that 136 wasn't fall behind it because I hit it in 2000 when both fell together and in other places. Some numbers are fast and fall right away. Sometimes you have to wait 10 days and sometimes weeks. When repeats come it pushes them back. I ma

Texas Lottery chief may lose job over jackpot snafu
Interesting idea, but they would never build in that level of public scrutiny, especially from someone with a record of digging dirt on them. They really just need to fix some key problems, and unfortunately it doesn't look like they're going to accomplish that with the current slate of executives. From Greer's video interview (linked to in a previous Lottery Post news story on this issue), it was clear that he still doesn't see anything wrong with his actions, and he seems indignant to boot. T

Lottery winners right to privacy
I'm not so sure about that. There are people that keep a constant eye on anyone that wins a $1M jackpot or more, and they chase after the winners.A couple of years ago I was broadsided at an intersection. It was entirely the other guy's fault, and to his credit, he admitted it right off. My car was totaled, but the only publicity about it was the report of the police officer that came to the scene after I called. I wasn't injured and neither was the other driver. But all of a sudden, within a few

The BADthe odd chances ( and number increaseThe Good more money more money , higher jack pot, can you say up to 500 millionThe addition of California means a much larger player-base for the Mega Millions game. More players, in turn, mean more game play, leading to faster-growing jackpots that can climb to new record levels much quicker. Mega Millions (formerly the Big Game) holds the record for the largest jackpot in North American history. It reached $363 million in May of 2000.The price of ti

Wild Wheel + Quarter Place
was wondering if anyone uses the wildwheel to make some money at the quarter place . i've been playing this way for 2 weeks and averaged close to 250$ profit a week. i play a few states/provinces a day. sometimes i can hit the filters well to take out a few numbers, other times i use all the filters except the doubles. if i feel a double is due, i'll put that 1 on. of course you never know what number will come out, but so far i've been doing pretty good. my record is 55 wins out of 70 plays(i
