Newspaper analyzes Fla. Lottery education funding
Editor: This highly biased newspaper article was published in Boca Raton News on Friday, April 27. It is presented here to educate lottery players about an unfortunately common form of so-called analysis , which in reality is nothing more than slanted opinions of certain journalists, who seek only the information that will support their narrow agenda.

Indiana Lottery sell-off advances in state Senate
Correction: This story originally identified Kentucky as the state selling off its lottery. We apologize for the error.
A Senate committee approved legislation yesterday to privatize the Hoosier Lottery after university officials said they needed the money it would generate to attract top researchers and boost life sciences.
We believe this bill is a difference maker, said Purdue University President Martin Jischke.
Senate Bill 577 passed 7-5 largely along party lines, with Republi

Lottery mega-jackpots generating less 'buzz'
Rhode Island Lottery chief predicts Powerball and Mega Millions will merge in the future
Just a few years ago, a $240 million Powerball jackpot would have drawn long lines at gas stations and convenience stores across the state.
But last week there was little buzz. And forget about lines.
Call it jackpot fatigue.
Rhode Islanders' appetite for gambling has lowered. And we're not alone. Elsewhere in the region, sales of lottery tickets and other forms of gambling are either less th

True Critic, this discussion obviously isn't getting us anywhere. I am not a radical or a moralist. I just call 'em like I see 'em, and would never in a million years refer to a disabled person as impotent. However, a man in a wheel chair can just as easily put a bullet through my brain as a healthy one on 2 legs. When an animal is surrounded by fences, it's still not a fair chase and my idea of a sport, is when there's some challenge involve. You obviously chose the particular words you felt w

NJ Lottery's payroll trims state take
Part 1 of a 3-part look at the New Jersey Lottery
To lottery players, the scratch-off tickets and numbers games are a fun way to pass the time and maybe strike it rich.
For state government, however, the games serve a more practical purpose a big business. A significant chunk of money from the lottery goes to causes such as colleges, public schools and veterans' homes.
By many measures, the system works: New Jersey ranks among the top five states in converting lottery sales to profit

Ohio Lottery rides record-setting sales growth
Instant tickets continue to drive the highest sales growth in the history of the Ohio Lottery. Successful marketing and an increasing number of players have pushed sales up $55 million, a 4.6-percent increase, in 2006.
Patty Vasil, Ohio Lottery deputy director of product development, said $10 and $20 instant games, and games tied to name brand merchandise prizes, may account for the rise in instant game popularity.
They attract a player who may not purchase lottery tickets, but likes the

code breaking and the LOtto...
I found a way that you could collect 32 numbers and contain the 6 winning numbers 42% of the time in Ga's win for life. However is only hypothetical extrapolation. Is done assuming the Win for life game will behave the same way in the future. Also is a very, very small sample since is only 31 draws and you will need like 90 draws to make an accurate extrapolation....I was looking at ga win for life game since it began and i began to record the winning numbers since the game inception. I am not

Gas Prices and chickens connection
I think you might find the following interesting....found in on ABC's website:
This makes a lot of sense~ read to the end!!
A man eats two eggs each morning for breakfast. When he goes to the grocery store he pays .60 cents a dozen. Since a dozen eggs won't last a week he normally buys two dozens at ! a time
One day while buying eggs he notices that the price has risen to 72 cents. The next time he buys groceries, eggs are .76 cents a dozen. When asked to explain the price of eggs the s
