Emoticons
I didn't vote in this poll until today because none of the emoticons really bothered me. Today I read Doominator's first post on LP and on it he was attacking me with his little stick.
My reaction is rage. But Doom-boy's over in Tonga and I can't take my wrath out on him.
So I voted for the stick. It's not the emoticon per se, but the way the emoticon is used and who is using it.
I am not laughing right now.

Numbers - obsession?
Coin Toss, good poll.
When I first started this game seriously about 7 years ago I did become obsessed with pick 3/4 digits to the point of dreaming about them and seeing them in every license plate. Thankfully, after a prolonged losing streak in those games that obsession has ebbed somewhat Now I dream more about systems than numbers...when I see the numbers manifest themselves during the day and they fit with what I came up with during morning coffee it's mildly encouraging.

how much
I heard about that.
Lottery Queen, the story is on the Home Page of Lottery Post and has been for days!
Anyway, I'm not questioning the 100% randomness of the numbers, since I've had my suspicions, but not totally convinced one way or the other. But no matter how hard people work their systems, there is still a lot of risk IMHO. I guess I read the poll in a different light and there was a misunderstanding. I was simply saying if anyone actually knew for sure a number was going to hit,

How much have you WON?
Saleo,
Congrats on that win. That is the thrill of a lifetime. There are others here who have won similar prizes but choose to remain anonymous and that's cool with me and I won't be revealing any identities. The votes in the last category in the poll isn't as much BS as we might think.
I've won numerous $290 and $330 prizes on the pick 3 but not enough to show a profit to date.
If I win IL Little Lotto tonight (over 1.2 mil) I might update this post but probably not.

Who has the most interesting blog entries?
This is not a poll or a popularity contest . There are too many good bloggers here to single out just a few.
But I vote for Konane's for variety, range of topics, and frankly the ones I read the most. I don't always agree with what a link has to say but I find myself reading it. That's what a good blog is all about.
Thanks, Konane!

Promoting more lottery play
Nice poll though, aye.
My thought is that more lower tier prizes would help, offset any way they can, or need to in other avenues. More people taking home prizes and talking about it probably would do more than anything else.

I really like the new format
For replies just don't use the included text? There used to be a reply button on the bottom of the page where the new topic and new poll buttons are.
Considering it's all hand coded it's quite the undertaking. You could start competing with vbulletin.
Also I noticed it doesn't do nestled quotes.

Why It Is Important to Remain Anonymous.
Hi nc,
If you really did win, congratulations - and sorry about your rough time. It seems like winning a jackpot is tougher than anyone would like to think. I remember reading an article about jackpot winners a while ago - someone took a poll and found that those who won were "less happy" than the losers.
If I did win now, I'd like to think I'd be more prepared to handle it than a few years ago (keep it on the DL!!!!!) in part because of what i've read here on LP.
good luck.

sharpest looking avatar on lottery post
I'm glad all those names list in the poll were for honorable mention....It's obvious that mines the best....lol
And for all those people using avatars they don't like for themselves....oh well !!
Do I detect another popularity contest? And more people feeling neglected and rejected. A little consideration to the whole membership would be appreciated.

Posting lottery theories
That's why every now and then we should do a thread with nothing but disinformation, to throw the lottery commissions off....
A recent study found that tickets purchased between 11:03 am and 2:14 pm for a Wednesday draw have a 63.8% better chance of hitting.
Could make a neat poll, too:
Who should be the board's Minister of Disinformation?
