Lotto Texas - World's Worst Jackpot Game?
Lotteries only change games when people don't like them anymore. How do you tell that....sales. If sales are starting to slump they know they have to change it. The Tx lottery wouldn't be any different. No matter how anyone feels there is a bottom line. Larger jackpots = larger sales. That is what the lottery is in for. The more sales the more money they make. Players don't want samller prizes spread out over more people. They want large jackpots. If you disagree with that then you nee

MM and PB jackpots
The best model we have is the performance of the old mega millions game which reached $294M before it was won by a player in Massachusetts back on July 2, 2004. The last several jackpots in that run seem to track what is happening here: $155M, $177M, $220M $294M parentheses showing the last three, which would need to be beat this time. Sales were $56M, $81M and $133M. The overall probablility of the last three jackpots rolling over would be, at today's odds, roughly 20%. A rollover at $295M

175 Million
That's the total of mega million and powerball. If there could only be a way to get the organizers of these two jackpots toDONATE them to the victims of Katrina. I'm sure the lottery players wouldn't mind starting over at the minimum jackpots compared to what all those people lost. Any ideas on how to go about this or even suggest it to them???? I'm leaving in a few minutes...so this discussion can carry on without me. But hey! Isn't it a good idea! This is a National crisis...we all have to

Texas Lottery May Eliminate Lotto Bonus Number
I agree with Lantern.Pick 6/50 was popular. There were lots of winners. Many pools and clubs existed. Players were happy. You are right, Todd. There wasn't and wouldn't be many huge jackpots.I think most players were satisfied with smaller jackpots, and will be again, should TLC decide to go back to a pick 6 game. I certainly could live happily ever after with $4 million. It's a shame that Gary Grief and Kim Kiplin are still in control. They want more for the state and less for the players. Be int

Ohio Lottery planning end for Super Lotto game
Ohio has constantly improved their SuperLotto game by making it worst. First is was two plays per dollar, starting jackpots of $4M, minimum rolls of $4M and 3of6 paid $3. Then they added some numbers and changed it to $1 per play. Then they limited the amount one ticket could win to $20M when they had bigger jackpots advertised. People started to play less so they added the bonus ball, got rid of the limit that one ticket could win, offered a free QP for a 3of6 win and got rid of minimum $4M
