What happens if you forgot where you bought your jackpot ticket.
The Twilight Zone is my all-time favorite TV series, and Rod Serling is the coolest TV personality ever. I just recently acquired the complete collection of Twilight Zone episodes on DVD. Now, all I have to do is find about 75 spare hours to watch them all. I suppose remembering the Twilight Zone does date us a bit, but those were great times. I can recall wishing at times that I could visit and experience some of the places and things in that series. I always wanted to go to Vegas after see

10 Worst Lotteries To Play
PA's is $2 and you win $36K/year. GA's, also sold in KY and VA, is $1 and you win $52K/year. VA offers a lump sum payment of $520K in lieu of the annuity. As if I need to say this, CASH's post should be taken with a grain of salt. I have yet to see any evidence that Lucky for Life is being replaced. Everytime I am at a PA store with a self-service machine, I try to see if it will allow me to buy a 26 drawing (13 week) ticket. When it no longer does, I will let you know.

E! Television to air 'Curse of the Lottery' Sunday
Maybe instead of jail time he could be forced to continue working and pay a lifetime annuity. So it actually costs him A LOT of money for being so greedy. Some clerks actually get tips for their honesty. I never check big wins that I can't cash in by machines, I also make a few copies, front and back. The lottery needs make some changes with the machine however, so it shows how much you win to the ticket holder. They have the jackpot amounts in BIG BOLD letters, so they should find a way to

describe how you got started with playing the lottery
Awesome thread here,LottoMike. I, like tntea, worked in a store that sold lotto, a liquor store. The first week I worked there I sold a ticket to a guy worth $150,000 and from that moment on, I guess I was hooked! This was back in '89 before everyone had computers and you could have access to past results so when the store wasn't busy I'd stand at the machine and punch in every date one at a time printing out each past drawing. Took me awhile but from then on I'd study the numbers. I'd put t

location, location, location?
I think you need to look at demographics. For example, in Florida a very large portion of the winning tickets are in Miami-Dade county. However, there are also millions of people living there. Additionally, you might want to consider the areas where people work, since many players purchase tickets during their lunch hour or after finishing work. So a big city or one with a lot of businesses might sell more tickets and, therefore, have more winners. However, many small stores in Podunk have

Clash over $1 million lottery ticket outlives buyer
That would be why when Sassy and I go down to play scratch offs, it's always in pairs. We each check the ticket, and if we're at our regular store, they actually won't throw one of our tickets out without running it through their machine, even if we don't see that it's a winner. (Yes we're spoiled we know) lol But I think the old guy's got the right idea, I'm sure that there are ALOT of people that throw those away without seeing it. And I don't see the issue with the annuity payments, it's

Maryland Lottery machine glitches frustrate players
The liquor store where I usually buy my Mega Millions tickets has had the new machine in place for about 2 weeks. I have not seen any problems - but then again I don't go there everyday for pick3/pick4/keno. One interesting note is that the tickets are now thermally printed instead of with ink. In fact there is a warning on the reverse about them being sensitive to heat. I checked out on a loser ticket with a cigarette lighter - yup, turns black right away as soon as the flame gets anwhere c

Can Employees Cheat?
I work customer service in a supermarket and we have a lottery machine and scratch-offs... in order to cash out a scratch off you need to scratch the bottom and get the 4-digit number in the box... we scan the back, then enter the number... the machine automatically tells us if it's a winner and if so, how much it won... If this person was just scanning them then he may have been validating them... or he could have purchased them and just scratched the bottom to check them... I do that once i
