Thanks Todd. I somehow missed the related article. But u was not trying to post as a news story, moreso wanted to discuss the potential to claim anonymously even in a state that is in favor of disclosing name, city and state of the winner. I will keep the rule you pointed out in mind next go round.

What gets me is the ingenuity of these crooks. They sure plan out everything to a T . Prior to reading the article I knew the retailer had to scan the roll or barcode on the unsealed package. Inside job UPS...hope that former employer gets what he deserves, some jail time instead of being let go and no further punishment. We may never know.

Did you understand the article? Your post certainly doesn't imply that you did. If the top tickets is sold, there is no point selling anymore. The incentive to win let's say $1 million is gone once that ticket or those tickets are sold.

So I guess some don't read what is mentioned here in the article. She had to pay up unpaid debts which actually lead into a credit report. If that is the case, then the lottery commission in that state is doing their jobs. Pay up whatever debts and move on. Simple as that.
