Well this act is a very logical thing to do if you want to keep others and more media at bay. Drawing more attention to yourself is a pretty stupid thing to do, and even a more security risk to you and your family. The goal is to be as boring as possible, put everyone to sleep, get out of there, and go and start enjoying life. Not to attract even more herds of people after you. With great power comes great responsibility. But go ahead and knock yourself out if you want.

Kansas Lottery officials mull GTECH systems failure
Nice to see the Kansas is putting some focus on the computer systems, but I really wish they would seriously consider getting rid of the computerized drawing system.
I've said for many years that the first lottery to go back to real drawings will cause quite a stir among players, and if handled correctly as a major player event with some nice web feeds of the live drawings as a novelty that lottery will capitalize on some big sales improvements.
The people of Kansas deserve to get their re

Maddogs Mega Millions Challenge 7/11
WB: 05, 09, 13, 14, 18, 23, 24, 30, 34, 43, 47
MB: 06, 12, 27, 37
A couple of these numbers I didn't play as I changed it at the last minute with two other ones, joke would be that including them I would have won, so I'm pretty much posting just in case that event happens so I can rant like a loon.

Is your state having a raffle this summer?
Thank you for the info.
If you get a moment, please drop me a note via private message to let me know what went wrong in the contact form. I try to do everything within my power to make it easy, so if I have missed something I will definitely correct it.
Edit: I have added Iowa's raffle to the event calendar: https://www.lotterypost.com/calendar.aspx?d=6/17/2008. Anyone else have some info on a different raffle (apart from PA and IA)?

Is your state having a raffle this summer?
I would like to get all the upcoming raffles onto the Event Calendar.
For example, I just added the upcoming Pennsylvania Millionaire Raffle, which will be drawn July 5th: https://www.lotterypost.com/calendar.aspx?d=7/5/2008
If you state is having a raffle (or if you know of another state having one), please take a moment and track down the info on your state lottery's web site, and then please send the info to me on the suggestion form here: https://www.lotterypost.com/contact.aspx?topic=

Happy Birthday
Thanx everyone.
A birthday is even better when it occurs on a day that I don't have to work.
About 5 years ago, I played my birthday with the p-3. I played 520 str8 and it came out that night. 500 bucks was definitely a nice gift. Let's see if tonight will be a repeat of such an unlikely event. Actually, I'm heading out the door to play the mid draw just in case.

New York - May 1st 08 to May 31st 08
Bashley, I'm going to jump in with your Double 2s. They are only 15 days (30 drawings) from breaking a 15 year old record! The longest D2s have ever gone wtihout hitting was 249 drawings - an event which happened in 1992 (7/20/92-3/27/93). As of last night, they are out 220 drawings since they last hit on 1/23/08. It's time.
According to Lotto Stats, 227 is the most overdue combo not having hit since 10/6/06 - that's 1,165 drawings ago!

Your own personal "supercomputer" for number crunching?
That's exactly my point. If using a computer could help any one win a lottery, all the computer power needed already exists in today's PC and there's no need to wait for the more powerful PCs of the future. The fact that players buying QPs do as well as players picking their own numbers means no one has a clue about how to predict a future random event by observing past random events using computers or other wise.
Even when Tennessee started using a computer for its daily games that didn't p

Colorado Lottery director to retire
You know, JS9, I don't understand why a lottery director out there has not used a switch back to real drawings as the centerpiece of a big media push. They could get creative and introduce something -- I'm not sure what -- new along with the switch back to real drawings. Maybe some kind of audience participation or a running contest for host, or something else that would get people interested again.
C'mon lottery directors, this stuff is right there for the taking. People want real drawings -
