I never replay small wins, at least not at the moment when I cash a ticket. I always buy my tickets before I cash my winners. I tell the store clerk It's not everyday that I get to walk away with money and they laugh So I could have a $4 winning PB ticket, but I will get $4 from my wallet, buy my tickets, get my receipt and then cash the winner. Of course the next time when am buying lottery tickets, the money coming out of my wallet would be what I got paid last time. Howev

I bought 4 tickets and won nothing. But, this time it was *close*. When I picked the lines to play out of my list of plays that I have ready to go, I missed a 2nd prize hit. The line was in my list with all 5 white balls, but I did not play it. The Powerballs are not in the list but are added randomly or manually by me at the time of printing the playslips or by letting the lottery terminal add them randomly at purchase. I'm just done with Mega Millions altogether. I played it since it was available in California, so a sample size that runs around 20ish years. The most I ever won was matching 3 numbers for probably around $10. $5 a ticket just became a barrier I wasn't willing to pass through. Whatever I would have normally spent just went to other draw games like California Fantasy 5 tickets instead. The actual jackpot total plays no part in my decision to buy a ticket or not.
