Kinda fun to see Powerball in the Florida Results page
That certainly was a long time coming! www.lotterypost.com/results/fl Now every state has a multi-state game, nice to see. Who wants to guess when the first rollover will be?

International super lottery to create jackpots of $500 million or more
this seems to come up every year or two, i wish they would get on with it and stop yapping about it. either give us a world wide lotto. or go away. I dont think it would be that hard to implement, mainly just printing new entry coupons and programming the new game onto the computer. taxes would be paid on based on the local the ticket was sold. As the article said, people drop the smaller state games for the larger multi state games. Thats the price state lotto pays for getting in on the

Confession/Poll
I'm not judging you, but I'm a little puzzled by all of this. Not sure where in Central Florida you live, but I'm in the Naples area on the west coast and live about 500 miles (each way) from Hardeeville. Anyway, I'm just trying to use logic here and my question is this. Florida has a lot of games, including a state lotto with 1 in 23M odds. MM odds are about 1 in 176M. PB odds are about 1 in 146M. So, although we all know it just takes one ticket, the chances you might win our state game ar

Matrix change: Powerball to get much harder to win?
I'm glad it's PowerBall that's considering a matrix change instead of MegaMillions since MM is played in my state. I think there could be a point where winning a prize with the multi-state lotteries become so hard that players will no longer be attracted from local games. If however its odds of winning a million dollars are similar to those of the local games when their jackpots are a million dollars then it will continue to attract those players. Since most local games starting with mill

would it irritate you if....(multiple jackpot winners on one jackpot)
Mike, Under your scenario a $35 million annuity divided by 35 winners would be $1 million annuity or roughly $480,000 cash before taxes. So say the tax man takes half and you have $240,000. You still traded $1 for $240,000 because your one line won. I doubt that we would see more than 5 multiple winners of a multi-state jackpot game in the next 100 years. But you never know. I still think I would be excited that I won the winnings that I got off a $1 ticket and not concentrate on the wha
