if you could play any state lottery......
Quote: Originally posted by GoArmy on December 2, 2004LottoMike, I really like the way that Tn post the amounts that it pays out. I wish that Illinois would do the same thing. I look at yesterdays winners quite a bit...........I admit it, I am trying to see who is hot and sorta trail them (Lucky I have my eye on you). Anyways, Illinois seems to be lagging in the payoff department. I would love to know how much this state collects and then pays out. The machines are shut down about twenty minut

Have you ever won a jackpot of any kind?
Just curious to see how many people have actually hit any kind of jackpot in the past.I hit my first jackpot back in 2000 at a casino in Hollywood Fl. It was only worth about a $1000 but it was exciting to see an entire line of machines going off. Then later that same year I put about $80 in a machine in a Tampa Fl casino and hit the jackpot for about $4500. I think this is when I really got hooked on casinoes, lol. I would have to say 2001 was my best year. I was at the same casino in Tampa Fl

A cut phone line has silenced thousands of telephones in South Dakota. The problems started at 10th and Dakota, in downtown Sioux Falls. Tuesday a worker accidentally cut a main line, knocking out service to 9,700 homes and businesses. The impact of the Qwest cut extends beyond city limits and beyond phone calls. Will the TX lottery winner...come forth!
Yes, I am being sarcastic. The lone winner should not show his or her face on TV because everyone wants to see who he or she is? Gee, I hope the person has an answering machine to screen the calls or an unlisted number.Put yourself in the person's shoes: the person has not come forth because he or she is trying to get his or her financial house in order, or he or she is waiting patiently for the media to ignore him or her. Sometimes, great news flashes will supercede any lottery media attenti

Pool players ponder Powerball hypocrisy
Nobody was betting on $212 million at The Pour House on Friday.A week after Charleston police and State Law Enforcement Division agents raided a pool tournament at the Savannah Highway tavern, three patrons at the bar shook their heads no over their beer. They hadn't bought a $1 chance at the state-sponsored, long-odds Powerball game. The prize at stake in tonight's drawing for the multistate lottery payoff has climbed to more than $200 million for the second time in five months. The last time,
