I always play the lottery regardless of the jackpots because I enjoy winning something even if it not the jackpot. I read that article too, but things may not be as bad as all that. For example the odds of winning the jackpot in Biggame now is 1:76,275,360 and if 2 balls are added to the 36 golden balls the odds would change to 1:80,512,880 which is close to the odds of winning the Powerball jackpot (1:80,089,128). This Seems like tough odds to beat for that scratchoff game when you compare it to the Pick 3 game. Put $1 Straight on ANY pick 3 number and your odds of a straight hit and $500.00 payout will be 1 in 1,000 which are easier odds to beat than 1 in 1,622.
