I heard this for 2026 Starting January 1, 2026, the federal jackpot tax reporting threshold increases from $1,200 to $2,000 I assume this applies since the huff n puff I have played in casinos is a video slot machine. The cash value is only running at 10% of what it would be when it was at $2.00 a line. 90% of all other cash jackpots were much higher by this time in the jackpot run. This poll doesn't explicitly state, but I assume you are referring to the cutoff time for posting numbers on Lottery Post's Predictions Board ? If so, the cutoff time is one hour before the draw time, in order to prevent people from gaming the system. Many times lotteries tweak the draw times for various games without making a huge announcement about it. Good poll, Brock. I know it's just for fun, but if you play in a state with pari-mutuel payouts for all the draw games, you have to consider avoiding numbers with lower payouts. For instance, on March 13 this year the California midday Pick 3 was 2-2-2, and because 570 people played that number, the straight payout was only $213. I have to admit a couple of things with regard to this poll. First it's a good/fair question, and I've never thought that far in advance as to how much I'd play after a $70,000 win so I really don't know what I'd do other than I'd probably keep playing like I always have. Just read about this on the Maryland Lottery website. So bad in so many ways. Many of the older players whom I have met in the lottery lines depend on the televised lottery pulls. If they miss it they come to the store and ask, what happened to the lottery today, did they show it? I also believe, the computer will now have the cumulative information of which numbers have been played and then avoid adding the most commonly played numbers to the random poll the computer will then spit out
