NC lottery winner spent $9M bailing out convict fiancé
There is a reason that poor and/or dysfunctional people tend to stay poor and/or dysfunctional. I have a sibling who since we were kids just can't refrain from buying stupid stuff. Has a great job but still no money. If you gave them a billion dollars they would be broke in less than a decade. If I ever win the lottery I will be like that person in the poll posted earlier, my sibling won't see a dime. I also have a friend, she dated this abusive guy and no matter how many times I told her

Who plays more, who loses more?
If $17,571,695 on last night power ball and 70% (as stated is true) then 12,300,186 QPs dollars were spent, while 5,271,509 went to SPs. One store is not an indicator of what is happening overall. Put a poll on LP asking for a head count who plays QPs, SP, and who plays both. And what games they play. I have seen Pick3 and Pick4 players try to get the clerk to put their number in the machine, but they don't play near the QPs of jackpot players. And jackpot players are secretive about their

Lottery syndicates online
Sometimes it's call a lottery pool or a lottery club. Basically, a group puts in money to buy multiple lottery tickets and if they win, they share the prize. I'm not sure I'd play an online syndicate and I wonder if they are even legal. I know it's not legal to buy lottery tickets through the mail whether domestic or foreign. I run a lottery pool at my office with a total of 11 people in it. We each put in $4 every payday and buy a mix of Powerball, MegaMillions, and Lotto tickets. If we w

So I won that football poll ($40) and decided to gamble a little bit with some of the winnings. $20 Golden Ticket (#17) hit for $20 $5 Frankenbucks hit for $5 with a frankenstien symbol $1 Super Hot 6's had two single matches for $2 $1 Super Hot 6's lost So I spent $27 and won $27.... again it's only a push but any more getting your money back seems to be pretty sweet.

Poll: New National Game October 19th - Will You Play?
Yeah, those deficits look scary. They sold it through their own research, and as you said, the brand and the fact that they can sell fewer tickets and make more $$$. I got access to the polls that they conducted and it proved that players want this game. The results were amusingly opposite to the consensus of the poll here on LP. Seems like the population has no problem forking out $5 for a 15 million dollar jackpot. Makes me suspicious that perhaps the people polled misunderstood how the

New Systems Forum just based on real stats and facts!
Actually, that has not happened, because I decided not to create another Systems forum based up someone's personal judgement as to what makes up stats and facts, and what doesn't. All discussion about lottery systems can take place, free from judgement that your system sucks or my system is the best . Mature and sensible forum visitors will simply ignore systems and discussions they don't like, and will engage in discussion with those that they do like. Some people will always complain t

Would you subscribe to a Lottery Newsletter?
Thanks to all for your comments here...been catching up on reading them. Veddy interesting! Thank you lottobrain for that link. I think I read that before when looking up the Lottery Players magazine. They sure had their finger on the pulse of the lottery world. Don't think I could compete with that, lol. I suppose it would be hard to have a well-rounded newsletter. 10 or 12 pages seems too short for that. A newsletter would have to be more specific in its subject. If you spread yourself

Would you quit your job if you won the lottery?
Survey results may surprise you Lottery tickets clenched in hands. Eyes trained on the numbered lottery balls in motion like popcorn popping. Mind solely fixed on this thought: If I win this one, I'll be rich enough to quit my job. Rich enough to quit, but would you? Most people would keep working, even if those lottery balls lined up in their favor, says a Harris Poll survey released today. Just over half 51 percent of workers said they would continue to work, even if they didn't nee
