Mega Millions Number Strategy
Prob988,
I'm sure you believe what you wrote and it may even be true, but what you believe doesn't improve your odds of winning any more than those of lottery players who believe they have a strategy to win.
For me half the fun of playing the lotteries is picking combinations to play and unless you're playing quick-picks, you need a strategy. I enjoy analyzing past drawings and picking combinations that I believe will do well in future drawings. I've only come close to winning a jackpo

Daily Lottery Recap Midday 09/13/06
Great idea, I too like the 7's in the Pick-4 for tonight;
0777-7077-7707-7770
Best: 7077
This is a 4-way number so even putting twenty-five cents on it straight would only cost you a greenback [$1.00] and if if falls any of the four ways you win $2,250.00.
Good Luck

What if I told you that I could with 95% accuracy predict
To Kim and Keith.
A very long time ago, I did a very quick study of all states travelers, using the Crunch 2 (3), I am not sure, but I think that I posted something about that study on the Pick 3 forum, but it could had been some other forum, Todd's Deflate 3 can also be used (I think?) in a like way.
I was just a little curious about the travellers due to so many people always talking about them.
At the moment I have no time to re-study them, but maybe sometime later.
Good luck.

When NY Lotto 59 is retired
I don't see LOP being offered by any other US lottery-even with Ohio's LOP having a 50% payout (although cash option winners are stiffed since Ohio does not use a floating percentage.) NY Lucky Day had a 40% payout. NYers reject 40% payouts in games other than Lotto and the late Millennium Millions. NY could change Lotto to a 5+1 game, but if such version paid 40%, would there be no 0+1 prize?(Millennium had eight prize levels.)
Pick 10 pays 50%; its top prize is $500,000. Quick Draw pays 60%

Protecting your numbers
You may want to consider staying with computer generated quickpicks at your local convienence store or where ever it is you purchase your tickets. Why, because if you actually review the stats of how the winning numbers were selected, you may find that a large percentage of individual winners (stats not readily available at the moment) came not from selected digits, but by simple quick-pick at the local convience store.
In regards to how can you know what numbers are due is based upon time

The QP Algorithm
I realize that there have been many topics about QPs. I also know that any set of numbers can win a lottery, even 1-2-3-4-5-6 or 47-48-49-50-51-52. But historically, overall the numbers follow some sort of pattern. The 3 QPs I got last night for the 6/53 Lotto were ridiculous like having 24-25-26-27 on one line. Another had 7-31 as the first 2 numbers. That being said, 5-24-25-33-38-43 won $50M in Dec. However, there weren't 4 numbers in any one group like the single numbers, 20s or 30s.
