Blind trust to stay anonymous
This guy https://www.panouseslaw.com/ recommends a claiming trust. The trust would claim, the attorney would be listed as the beneficiary and then the trust would immediately be shut down and the winnings transferred to another Trust, LLC, or whatever you want. Sounds easy and anonymous.
Just remember DO NOT SIGN THE TICKET as that would make this impossible.

CT Lottery CEO refuses to testify as to why official was placed on leave
Keep it up transparency fans.
We can't let out jackpot winners remain anonymous, we'd lose transparency.

Blind trust to stay anonymous
Remember if you are in a non anonymous state, (assuming trusts or LLCs are off the table), your attorney cannot simply claim for you. You=your attorney. Lottolucy mentioned a while back that she spoke to someone at the Ohio lottery who referenced using blind trusts. I still think these non legal lottery people do not realize that any trust should suffice. I do not recall a reference to a blind trust in my research on all the states. A blind trust would be reckless unless you know you cannot con

About the ratings
Calling it like we see it is why I thought the star rating was just an option where discussions could be rated without actually posting like/dislike or agree/disagree. You're probably right about anonymous rating because apparently some thread starters take it personal when someone gives their thread less than a 5 star .
I try limiting my ratings to topics I thing are excellent or terrible unless I thing it would get a laugh countering a 5 star with a 1 star or viceversa like I did with one

About the ratings
There's only one person whose threads I rate one star, and I won't apologize for it. He posts the same incomprehensible drivel over and over, and butts into other threads with gibberish. I call it like I see it.
I think the star rating should be anonymous so people feel more comfortable giving honest assessments of the quality of discussion, that way you could skim the titles and see which threads are worth reading based on their average rating. As it is, most threads are either unrated or ra

NC man ignored million-dollar winning ticket on his table for weeks
A North Carolina man was a millionaire, only he didn't know it.
That's because the man who won $1 million playing Powerball left the winning ticket unattended for weeks, the South Carolina Education Lottery said in a news release.
I have a bad habit of waiting to check my lottery tickets, said the man, who has chosen to remain anonymous, according to the news release.
After weeks of ignoring the ticket that sat on his dining room table, the man said he was stunned and his wife was spee

CT Lottery quiet as uncomfortable allegations pile up
I didn't catch the Edit timer in time,
The point of the post was just because a state is a non anonymous state doesn't mean everything is on the up and up.

Anonymous / Non anonymous states
In Texas we can claim anonymously on jackpots of 1 million or more. On TLC's website, you can click on a link that has a little story about jackpot winners (scratchoff and online winners) and each story that I have seen says the winner chose to claim anonymously.
Unfortunately, not all states allow anonymous claims. Having said that, I wouldn't be all that afraid of my name being out there if I couldn't claim anonymously. I think most people that have had trouble was because of being stupid,
