Can Lotto be cheated?
i theory it can be cheated, and quite possibly by the lotteries. in fact, there is a lot of speculation as to how some lottery jackpots can get so high. in theory, the lotteries can make it so nobody hits a jackpot for a while, and therefore the jackpot rolls to enormous levels, causing an incredible incrase in sales, but dventually a lottery's rigging of the game to generate incredible sales will come to an end because if a jackpot gets high enough, then every possible combination of numbers wi

Michigan Winfall
the only problem with $2 ticket prices is that it does not always mean higher jackpots since $2 tickets don't generate player support.

Michigan Winfall
there would have to be more states involved with the game for jackpots to get THAT high.

OH thinking of replacing Super Lotto Plus
Well, Ohio is thinking about replacing Super Lotto Plus (again). This time, they are trying to go in with a few states (I'm guessing maybe PA, IN, MI, WV, or MD) on a game that would cost $2 (Boo!), but would offer jackpots in excess of $40-50 million (Not bad.). I do like the idea, but not the ticket price. They did not specfy if jackpots would be annuity or lump sum. Any comments?

Massachusetts Ca$h WinFall
>They kept pushing the Mass Megabucks (Pick6/30) numbers up from 30, then to 36 and then finally, to 42.I wish Megabucks would go back to 36 numbers. Then it would be fun again. I don't think it matters anymore if jackpots slowly climb to $10 million or more, people who want huge jackpots will skip Megabucks and play Megamillions. The increasing size of the jackpot is no longer the big sales draw it once was. But if there were better odds and regular winners of between $400,000 and $1 milli

Euro Millions lottery expands to six new countries
Quote: Originally posted by DoctorEw220 on October 06, 2004here's why we do not need a world lottery. IT COULD CRIPPLE SMALLER COUNTRIES. if every nation put in a share of the money, and someone from one country won it all, then their country would benefit from the taxes, BUT other nations would lose that money. a smaller nation such as lichtenstein or cuba would go under just paying their share of one large jackpot. Not all the money acquired by the lotteries goes to the large jackpot. i think that will generate more sales, but if more states get involved, then the jackpots should start in the millions.
