Dream Help Please
Good Morning Dreamt I helped a little girl produce some kind of ticket from a kiosk machine, which was attached to a bus. Then I was in a Wal-Mart parking lot, I witness an accident, one of the driver (man) called the police. As I pull out from the parking lot an old white car, no windows, no driver, rolled across and I gently bump into to it. The bump force the white car to roll several feet and clash into another car, I drove away quickly, for I knew the police was coming. Vivi

Playing every ticket from a machine.
I took the Vending Machine Challenge for a typical CA Scratchers machine. It wasn't as bad as I thought, was sure I'd get less than 50% back, but made back 80%, $53 on $66 spent.(our CA scratch games are puny compared to East coast) Playing just 1 ticket of a game is not usually a good idea, so I would normally never play this way. I also hardly ever play the smaller $1, $2, or $3 games, this is probably the first time this year. I especially avoid extended play games like crossword and bingo

Judge orders new trial in Arkansas lottery ticket suit
The lottery commision has stated the machines were working and worked for all the tickets before and after her ticket...therefore she must not have scratched off the ticket completely. When interviewed on today show and asked she said she did not know We've already come to the conclusion that Duncan isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer and we're talking about a $20 scratch-off ticket with a playing area that clearly shows whether the ticket won or not. I provided a link that shows the gam

Judge orders new trial in Arkansas lottery ticket suit
An Arkansas judge on Thursday ordered a new trial to decide who can claim a $1 million scratch-off lottery ticket prize, a little more than three weeks after he ruled that a woman who said she bought the ticket but mistakenly discarded it was entitled to the money. White County Circuit Judge Thomas Hughes ruled May 1 that Sharon Duncan should get the prize money, not two other women involved in the case. Hughes ordered the new trial in a one-paragraph ruling that did not elaborate on his reas

When was the last time you saw a multi-state lottery jackpot...
The March 27 MM Jackpot, which had an annuity value of $363M actually had a pretax expectation value of 1.10, which was higher than the record setting expectation value of the following $640M annuity jackpot because of the Poisson probability distribution, which favored 3 winners (the number actually obtained). The ticket sales were $652 million just for that one drawing and with 3 winning tickets the overall odds of winning the jackpot were 3 in 652 million or 1 in 217 million. And that's

Arkansas woman loses bid for $1M lottery ticket picked from trash
This is a sadly hilarious story. 1. Arkansas 2 Kangaroo court 3 This case WILL be turned over-turned in appeal. I agree with the vast majority of comments in that this ticket is the Bearer instrument and signature concludes the winner. End of story. Though the 'machine arguement' is interesting you are high if you don't think that will be dismissed as 'user error.' As somebody mentioned the bar code may have been creased ect... in the end the state lottery won't be the on

States up the online ante
The convenience store owners need to be scared: I have several reasons why I would play online vs. the store. 1) Mean, nasty store clerks with crinkled up little faces looking down on me 'cause they had a rough day when the jackpots get high. Only this weekend I had a new clerk mess up a ticket of mine and tried to charge me twice the price. When I told her to look on the tickets themselves and she could see she was the wrong one, she cleared out the tickets from the machine and toss

10 Rules for playing scratchies
Good tips everyone. The constant theme seems to buy at least two tickets every time, which is something I have always done with good success. Beyond that I would add that after a new game has been out for a month or so, you may want to try a couple of older scratch games that still have a few major unclaimed prizes remaining. Don't put all your eggs in one basket with just the new games. I also rarely play any of the $1-2 games, big crap shoot. Your spending a lot to get a shot at

Lottery Scams on Dateline Tonight
You get caught and the store loses it's contract with the lottery to sell tickets and three years probation, wow! That one last guy with the traveling ticket I think his brother owned the store because the officer said tell your brother he lost his contract to sell how awful. It's just not worth it!! Stores who lost their contract no doubt lost a lot of business. Chris Haneson's advice was nothing we have not heard here on the boards before: Check your own ticket online or ne

Cheating FL Lottery Store Retailer
There is no law against it in Georgia, but I don't know about other states. Now that does not mean that it is not against the retailer's rules. One store owner told me that he would not hire anyone that played the lottery. A clerk at another store told me that they are not allowed to play and the owner would watch the tapes and fire anyone that played. Most clerks say they don't play, but I think a good number of them do, especially station owners. What are they going to do? Fire themselves? I k
