Iowa Lottery security chief to grill NY lawyer over Hot Lotto ticket
Yes. Questions do need to be asked.
There was a scandal two or three years ago where some state's lottery tech employees with top-level system access were able to print duplicate winning tickets and have friends claim the money. The tickets they printed were identical to the winning tickets. These guys were sys admins at the state lottery headquarters, and had access to terminals and printers. They manipulated the system so the tickets they printed were identical to the winning tickets printe

Cheated lottery winner files lawsuit
The only thing he did wrong and his biggest mistake was trusting the Texas Lottery people and their agents to be honest and fair.
I cashed a Ten-Oh ticket in Ohio that I thought was worth $52 but the clerk told me it was worth $407; I thought I matched 7 numbers on one of the lines but I matched 8. The clerk didn't know that I under valued the ticket when asked her to cash it, but what if I'd said check the ticket ?
Sure, Willis' intelligence is questionable, but what about the intellige

Then you have gained Matt, you have learned to stay away from such places and narrow in on the winning stores!

Most don't seem broken to me.
I think most lotteries go to a lot of trouble to maintain tight draw security, trustworthy records, oversight, and use a lot of other measures to establish they're worthy of public trust. I believe most can be trusted as well as any other group of citizens handling large sums of money, including banks, stockbrokers, and government agencies.
Which isn't the same as saying they're completely trustworthy, though I think they try hard to be, partly because so

What Do You Think About This One??
Hi China, I have some of the tickets per roll but it's confusing, each game may have a different total amount. It also messes me up when Publix puts the tickets in the machine to count down and also some tickets have a reverse order number in (000) parentheses which some clerks will read instead of the actual ticket number.
So when I ask what number is next and they say 001 and it's really ticket 029 (001) where 029 is the number on the front and for whatever reason the (001) number is printe

NY scratch-off letters
Must be an epidemic. PA is back to pulling the wool over players eyes. They recently changed their letter codes too...to NO CODES. Tick me off
in more ways than one..some people are looking for letter codes to determine if they have a winner - until word of this new changes spreads
people will be tossing winners thinking the ticket has no code so it must be a dud. Another thing is, I too liked being able to verify by letter
codes if the ticket was a winner. Now if you want to make sure

Lottery ticket fetched from drawer wins $250,000
A Baltimore, Maryland, man who wanted a break from Sunday's NFL playoff games decided to dig up some old lottery tickets and one of them happened to be worth $250,000.
Maryland Lottery officials said the man bought the lucky Mega Millions ticket in August just before he left for a vacation.
I was watching the playoff game (Sunday) and happened to go into my dresser drawer, said the man, whose name wasn't released by the Lottery. I figured they were expired.
He took the tickets to a ne
