Piqua lottery winners sued by co-workers
Wrong! Not should be! All Agreements are to be Mandatory for any POOL of any size! The Agreement is to be signed each time you pay/join in the pool! You Pay and then you sign the Mandatory Agreement! No Pay, No Sign, No Play! End of Story!

Not too shabby RJ, you matched 4 of 5 WB's in your pool, that is always good.

Office lottery pool
I wouldn't pass on joining a lottery pool just because I wouldn't be able to retire if the group won. Paying off all of your bills and affording a nice house and car with cash would also be worth the few $ per week investment. I play in an office pool with 18 people and we track tickets and statistics in an excel spreadsheet and also on a website we created/run. $5/week each.

It's getting hard to stay enthusiastic...
I get that feeling to sometimes. But some intuition of mine keeps pulling me back into this hobby of mine. Like many have said You can't win if you don't play . Playing with a pool needs to be treated like a business. Meetings, discussions Need to take place often. Just to see where the pool's direction is headed. And to make sure All members are on the same page. If the game is too big (odd stacked), another game needs to be discussed (less odds). Or perhaps disban the pool altogether.

How of you play in a Lottery Pool?
The next question is, how many tickets does your pool purchase? We have a 18-person PB pool and we play $5/week each. We buy 40 tickets per draw when the jackpot is under 100 million, then wait to reinvest any winnings (and any leftovers from the weekly purchases) when the jackpot is higher, usually 60-70 per draw when the pot allows. We've just been doing this for a few months now, since August.

fja, What theory, formula or definition did you use to pick your 25 numbers? I use the definition described earlier in this thread for picking a MB pool but I'm still developing one to pick the WB pool.

Developing a winning MegaMillions System
RJ, when you say 'Picking the top 15-20 megaball numbers', do you mean the top 15-20 most frequent? We've been struggling with hitting the powerball number. In 11 draws we've only hit it twice where we've picked 33%-50% of the numbers for each drawing. I'm going to be looking into powerball number repeat positions and see how that does. Last night our pool matched 4 of 5 in our 32 number WB pool (so not bad there), but they were spread out over 63 tickets so the best we managed was nine 2+0's
