Woman takes Fla. Lottery to court for ticket misprint
I Agree, When I look at my scratchers, I look to see that my number matches theirs, plain and simple. Iam SO SICK of oh it was a misprint. oh the slot machine malfunctioned stories I could just barf. And Im also so sick of the term The lottery is a business . I would expect a BUSINESS to provide legal and ethical services, I would also reserve the right to sue them after i find they have been misrepresenting themselves. The lottery has been able to keep scratcher tickets in play for mon

Has this ever happened to you?
I am a store clerk, so I just have to respond. It wasn't your fault nor the clerks. All she did is put the play slip in the machine. She can't cancel the ticket, so if you don't pay,she has to, period. The best way to play for most are play slips, but there can be problems. Most play slips are where people often scratch their scratch tickets, so it not hard to pickup a small bit of a ticket on a play slip, or it could be a slight smuged or lint. I seen this more than a couple of times. Yo

LP Family Photo Album - Who's Picture Would You Like To See?
lol tiggs! I certainly was being serious...don't they say: It could happen to anyone? and that all it takes is just one ticket? Normally I do not play the big games (guess who you won't see holding the check anytime soon, lmao! - they also say: you have to play to win) If the jackpot goes up..way up, I'll give it a shot. I haven't even gotten around to MM yet...it seems almost like the other game - PB. One day when the PB was so high....I watched and waited for a guy in line buying up t

Here's a Winning Tip for Scratoffs - Buy the 000 ticket!!
Sorry to hear about that! Which $20 ticket did you buy. I have had awful luck with the money mania. Totally crap. But the win it all, has been great for not only me but my husband as well and he really only buys scratchers occasionally. He bought one and won $100. Bought another and won $20. The last one he bought he gave to me and I won $100 as well. The one I bought for myself, I won $400. lol I know...I am scared to press my luck because over the holiday I had 2 win it all's and ended up n

Do you tip when you win? Who? How much? Why do you tip?
I do business consistently with the small town folk, and I make every effort to treat them consistently well, at the very least with kindness and respect (unless given reason to do otherwise). To do so also stands to reason logically, I think, because chances are good I'll be going back there again. Which? With a significant win on any game, 9 times out of 10, I do give the clerk a gift, and how much and how I do that depends on the clerk and circumstance. And it is definitely a gift, never

Mega Millions--using a static ticket or random QP
Hello, I am new here. I have played MM on and off, but when I read about what the winner did to get the ticket its mostly 1 of 2 things. Obviously QP does work, but when it comes down to it, are you at the right mahchine at that point in time that prints the combination that will be drawn..... I'd like to think it 'could' happen at some point playing this way, but really is so random its hard to be convinced when buying your ticket this way each time that particular machine prints the combina

21 Combinations
...There certainly is that off-chance that the draw results can be manipulated or adjusted to some degree in a true conspiracy fashion if the draws are not televised live in real time. Whether a half an hour of deadline time is enough time to accomplish that massive feat is debate-able. ...The ticket-vending deadline is probably required to make sure that all vending machines are offline and disabled before the draw, so that the vendors/public-at-large cannot purchase a winning ticket combo a

When the clerk *overpays* you for a winning ticket, you... (choose one)
Let's say you go turn in one of those complicated scratch offs with lines and numbers every which way. Reading the ticket is sometimes confusing, but scanning into the lottery machine is supposed to print an accurate amount of what you won, correct? So let's say you bought a ticket and it says (you think) that you won $10. You go take it to the clerk, and then they scan it in, and the clerk hands you $15. Maybe you missed a line or something. There's a bunch of impatient customers behin

New Michigan lottery terminals are giving retailers fits
It doesn't appear we've had any significant negative (economic) impact at all because it's not like the retailers have been down for days, she said. Geez, I thought it was just my part of the state that the MSL does not care about. We are supposed to get our drawings live on channel 3 here. Channel 3 is a Wisconsin station. We are lucky if Channel 3 actually airs the drawings more than twice per week! I foolishly watched it at 7:29 today and they did NOT air tonights drawing! (wh

$207M Mega Millions lottery winners happy, but waiting
PEACE everyone!!! My 2 cents left over from MM purchase that didn't win.. -The Kroger store is free to give its share where it wants to, and the consumers should be all made aware of their decision and then decide whether or not to shop there. If Kroger made a poor choice then they would lose sales. -The Kroger employees deserve a bonus anyway, even if there were no winning ticket. Although the only Kroger employee who helped in any way for these people to win was when they chose an exa
