Auditor general finds no fault with Pa. Lottery, but unusual wins remain unexplained
So the audit found in favor of the lottery and against the players. What a surprise. I am guessing they were paid off to find in favor of the lottery.

Arizona Lottery director not embarrassed about computerized drawing fiasco
What I'll tell you, our players are extremely intelligent people and they know what they're doing when they play these games, he said. I wonder if Edgar's extremely intelligent people will figure out the problem with the malfunctioning machine undergoing a forensic audit. is the same RNG program he is using in his other machines?

Illinois Lottery to again delay large payouts due to budget woes
All states or almost All put lottery revenues into the general fund for THEIR convenience making it hard to audit or trace as to what good it did or what bad boy or bad, bad girl got their sticky fingers on it....If the lottery was accountable for keeping their own books, then they would be able to list every penny it took in and paid out to whatever good DEED or FUND it was designated to GO TOO. Now it goes to the states general fund and we are told 10% went here, 40% went there (there where???

California Lottery delaying payouts to winners
That is rediculous. I have never heard of that one before. Here in Philly there was one place that I recall that if you had a winning ticket of anything they didn't have enough money to pay back. So I wound up going to the beer store right behind it. Someone needs to audit the CA lottery then.

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Nice win oldghost. The big wins on the Monopoly game are hard to come by. @skeptic - I think Jim's CPA is basically advising Jim to not deduct his losses. Basically, I think his advice is going to result in Jim paying more taxes than he would otherwise owe. You should keep the tickets and a log if you want to get a good result in an audit.

N.J. store clerk buys old workplace after lottery win
Not sure how much he spent to purchase the business but I would have invested the money in a much different manner. I can't imagine he was able to do a complete audit of the finances or even hire qualified people to look into whether this was a viable business. Going in blind without doing your due diligence is a quick way to financial ruins. For the previous owner to quickly agree to a selling price puts up all sorts of red flags.

British Columbia Lottery taking bets on US election
I'm a Bernie person, but between Hillary and trump, I pick Hillary. Trump is not smart enough to run the USA. Trump is a racist, so he's not about bringing races together. Trump is not going to get white educated women votes. He's not going to get the Black, Hispanic or the Asian votes. If trump gets into office, we will be in another war. Trump is not going to bring JOBS back, it is all talk. And the biggest thing is trump kept the birther movement going for 5 years on our first black President

Audit: Illinois Lottery broke law to get around budget impasse

First lawsuit in state lottery-fixing scandal seeks millions
Exactly. They gave the hen house keys to the top fox, then they wonder why he's getting fat. No over sight, and apparently no independent audit. And of course Iowa legislators were satisfied with the investigation (BY TIPTON!), they have no idea what they are doing most of the time anyway! That $16.3M should be awarded to the next legitimate winner after the rigged drawing. Hopefully, this will get rid of RNG's for good.

Payout situation getting worse for Illinois lottery winners
Such BS. State lottery funds are kept in separate accounts from general budget funds, because state officials know if the lottery refused to or couldn't pay out, players wouldn't play. As they're seeing now, with Illinois players deciding to play in neighboring states. Per an article I recently read, a state budget audit disclosed that the payout monies are there in their accounts. For all intents purposes, what state officials (including the Governor) are doing is holding state lottery winners
