The problem with charging for anonymity versus free is the lottery would be responsible for keeping the player's information secret. At the same time in some states the lottery is already responsible for notifying courts and other agencies if state taxes and child support, etc. is due and of course they tell the IRS. If enough players decided to boycott lotteries until all states or their state allowed winners to remain anonymous it would definitely send the lotteries a message. Too bad it will never happen because too many want their '15 minutes of fame' but it would be effective.

I m glad you were able to get tickets. That is frustrating to go in and be all ready to get tickets and find out that they re down. Found out that this will probably be my last big jackpot in Maryland. We are being transferred to the Midwest and it will be a very quick move. No more anonymous tickets. not sure what it means. thought pay it forward was something you do at the toll plaza or drive-thru for the anonymous person behind you. so is she going to just throw it all out there to her church or community and let them distribute it. somehow doubt that is going to happen with all of it. a portion perhaps, but all of it. ludicrous. if you are going to give it all away at least have the satisfaction of knowing exactly where it is going.
