Better chances to win or better chance?
i used to play the pick 3 at 20 a day and have since quit. it was a very expensive habit. now i just play for large jackpots in lottery style games like the wa. state lottery, powerball ,etc and play a lot for large jackpots. i figured 10k wouldnt really change my life (since i played all 20 straight on 1 number- and i did win 2x on that method) but 10 million would change my life. so i only play for enough to quit my job permently.

1 winner in mega for 150 in georgia
I thought this was going to be the rollovers to get at least to $200 million. Guess not. And when Texas starts selling tickets, it will just make it worse. When Texas joins I bet there will be very few times that the jackpot will reach the $100 million mark. There will just be to many tickets bought for each drawing and someone will be likely to win. But in the case of smaller prizes Powerball is the better game. I mean they still have big jackpots all the time and only have 42 extra ball

Pick your Multi-State poison...
the big game - mega's predecessor held that big jackpot and the big game only had 7 member states. megamillions has never had a bigger jackpot than 180 and new york, ohio and washington joined after the rule changes and other changes from the big game to megamillions. in fact most jackpots on mega have been very small (35 or so) and the three biggest jackpots have been 180, 165 and 125 excluding the current run. powerballs biggest by comparison have been 300, 240 and 140 after their rules change

Mega Millions Lottery Disappoints, Officials Say
I'm not disappointed Mega Millions hasn't reached $400 m. It may be good for sales, but I don't think a single person needs that much. But I'll take it if it's there. It's just chance that anyone wins or doesn't win in a week, and at any time there can be a run up to $400 m. With Texas on board, the jackpots should be noticably bigger anyway. This points out that's there's just too many games competing for the same dollar. If states really want a $400 m jackpot, let them get rid of some of th

Florida Lawmaker: Large unclaimed lotto prizes should go to education
For any unclaimed jackpots over a certain amount, they could split it with K-12 education which is hurting for money everywhere.

Mass. Lottery Extends Keno Hours
>Officials said additional hours will generate much-needed revenue for the state. The state needs money from old alcoholics who spend hours in the bar (the only places that have Keno in MA) wasting their money on beer, cigarettes and keno as another day ebbs away. I'm so proud to live in Massachusetts. So far the reign on Mr. Cahill has been a big disappointment. As CO says, 6/42 and 6/49 desperately need revising and improving, and not just with a cash option. They also need larger amounts

Bigger jackpot or better odds?
Depends on the odds...1:25,000,000 are better odds but still a strech away...i'd rather have bigger jackpots.....

All a matter of luck
TC---where do you get this 70% figure from...cite a source that says 70% or you don't have a leg to stand on...your statement that it is common knowlege is not good enough for a debate thomas, you need to back up that claim with some verifiable statistics...i am citing facts from the florida lottery websiteaccording to the florida lottery website, there have been a total of 663 jackpots since 1990 (the year the QP was introduced), 301 winners were QPso if the vast majority of players in florid
