I would wait until I got the check before I did anything. There would be nothing worse than quitting, then finding out there was a mistake or error of some kind and you didn't win after all... And then having to ask for your job back.

First, how do you know it's a mistake and not a ticket that was accidentally left behind? If it was left behind the store may not own it and would therefore have no right to sell it.
