Holiday Raffle Games
I bought a raffle ticket ($20) for the ohio drawing, they mailed out coupons for a $5 holiday scratch off with the purchase of the raffle ticket. Most of the people I know said they never recieved the coupon. One thing I did notice on the Ohio lottery website was that they were suppose to sell the tickets this year in reverse order, the first being 500000 and the last being 000001. I bought my ticket when sales were under 200000 and my ticket started with 197. When I sent a notice to the lottery

I wouldnt sign up for a membership because of this idea for a 'give-away'.
How can I be sure it wasn't rigged or tampered with ? Who would audit this and prevent anyone from cheating? We all wouldnt even know how the numbers were picked each week. There are too many fraudulant variables in this equation. I just dont trust it.

Hoosier Lotto
The game went 84 draws without a winner on its previous record of $42M, and that was before the switch to computerized drawings. You can't say, Well, this year had this many winners, and this year had this many winners, but since no one has won in a year, that must mean the game is rigged . The previous record shows that it is not only mathematically possible, but also realistically possible for a lottery game to have periods of time without a winner that are much longer than other periods of t

Tennessee Lottery players unanimous in their discontent with drawings
ANYTHING can be rigged, but it's comparing apples and oranges. They are not even close.
It can also snow in July, but I don't bother talking about that because it's only theoretically possible, not something remotely reasonable.

Indiana Lottery (Hoosier Lotto)
Unless a state is running some type of a promotion, hitting a Pick-3 straight pays $500 but we have to overcome odds of 1000 to 1 to win that. Every state website I've read shows the payoffs and those odds so they are not hiding the fact they have a 50% edge. On the Power Ball site the odds of winning $100 is around 12,000 to 1 so the house edge can get even higher.
State lottery sites have links to their financial reports; for instance in the fiscal year 2006, Ohio had ticket sales of $2

would you sit in on a live lottery drawing if invited to attend?
Absolutely ! I currently attend lottery draws here in Ontario. In fact anyone can go to a lottery draw. All our draws are open to the public, they are also done in a storefront window in downtown Toronto. There's about 7 games drawn for example using a Saturday night schedule. What is great about this is that you see it happens legitimately, that even the draws people buy tickets and lose, and it's really a fun night out. All numbers are video recorded. It's really set up like a game s

Pennsylvania Lottery Millionaire Raffle results
Sirbrad, sorry to hear you didnt hit. If its any consolation....I didnt even come close. Despite the positive attitude and good vibes I had for my ticket, the karma didnt come my way. I did find it rather peculiar that that High numbers we all big winners. Those of us that bought early werent the ones to catch the worm. So be it. Its done via RNG so I've no doubt its not rigged so much as the computer deliberately was programmed to exclude numbers lower then 300,000. Opps I think thats called r

Paranoid or Prudent?
emilyg, from your many post I have seen on lottery post I can see you are a real sweet person. And a real encourager. Yet, despite your niceness.

Also 1 night 3 numbers right and also $9 bucks on another night, On all these I think I spent maybe $20 bucks to

Lottery CODE
I see a lot of people using different methods to come up with a string of numbers to play... It seems as though people are trying to break some code to try and predict the next drawing, if their is a CODE to break then the lottery isn't truley random is it? I mean Truly random numbers can only be generated by a physical process and cannot be generated via software... I don't mean to be offensive by any means since I am a big believer that their is some code or also the lottery is rigged to how

Little store is a Lotto hot spot
The only way the ticket was destined to be a winner is if the draw was rigged.
Far too often, people who pick their own numbers use things like birthdays (numbers 1 - 31). Since the lottery draws from the entire range of numbers in the matrix, if you limit your range of self picks, you are selecting from only a subset of the numbers available, thereby hurting your chances to win.
