If you could play any US lottery from any state online would you switch to anonymous states?
I wanted to ask Todd or will probably go directly e-mail The Lotter because I wanted to ask if you can purchase Powerball or MegaMillions from states that are anonymous.

Lottery winner pranks kids by letting them 'find out about it on the news'
The news is nothing compared to the internet and kids having cell phones. I LUV this story! I can't do this to my kids as I am in Maryland and can claim anonymous.

Why it is important to remain anonymous...
Remaining anonymous has greater benefits: You need not fear that undesirables will target you or your family. You could possibly avoid mayhem or murder. You also have the right to choose which charities you wish to support without having questionable ones beating down your door or strong arming you to fork it over.. .so to speak. As always : an opinion.

Why it is important to remain anonymous...
How are you going to remain anonymous to people around you, family members and friends, while suddenly buying a new car and a much better house? Are you just going to pretend that you have been saving a couple of dollars a month from your 30,000 a year job and you are now ready to improve your life? What would be the point of even winning if you don't do a few small things to improve your lifestyle? I am not the type to go out and buy a mansion but you can bet your butt that we would be living i

Why it is important to remain anonymous...
I agree that staying anonymous is desirable, but I can't figure out if it's really possible in Illinois. I may have to settle for disappearing afterwards, name change, buy house in gated community through a trust or llc.

Why it is important to remain anonymous...
Most of those professional athletes have sports agents who can refer them to reputable financial advisors and lawyers. The movie stars probably have connections with Hollywood agents who can set them up with financial professionals. Not to mention, those professional athletes and movie stars make millions of dollars annually for several years. So if those athletes or movie stars mess up one year, they have another check coming and move on. Although, there are some professional athletes who will

Why it is important to remain anonymous...
I don't think it's necessary to take extremes to be anonymous. Look at all of the professional athletes, movie stars, and other multimillionaires that have their names, faces, and residences plastered all over the news... rarely do other people do very bad things to them. They are more likely to go bankrupt on bad investments, drugs, or do self-destructive behavior than other people stalking them or doing bad things to them. Just use common sense, don't do anything risky or stupid, and enjoy

Does the size of the lottery jackpot matter to you?
I also play PB and MM only when JP is in record territory...and I'm in anonymous (Delaware/Maryland) territory. But how does the holiday/b-day/Leap day factor effect your decision to play ?

Lawyers contact N.H. Lottery about $487 million jackpot
i just tell it like it is. not miserable at all and don't need you to decide anything. not greedy like most on here who don't play lotteries unless they can win 300m or more and are intrigued by rankings of lottery jackpot totals, or over and over again if they can remain anonymous if they win, or if someone happens to squander 3% of their jackpot people criticize and condemn them for it. or the idiots who win 200m and want to invest and save it all (for what). or the people who think there is s

Lawyers contact N.H. Lottery about $487 million jackpot
I believe that in New Hampshire a winner is allowed to claim using a Trust. They could remain anonymous this way. I hope that their lawyers, financial advisers, and accountants know about using Trusts.
