Lotto Scam Clears One Woman's Bank Account
First the check clears , then it unclears . If the banks themselves had to eat the loss, they would take better care of this type of thing. On the getting the money back part, after it gets sent to Canada or wherever, a big chunk is wired to Romania or some other uncooperative place. After all, the scammer is a boost to the local economy (where he will spend the money). The authorities there have ZERO incentive to send the money back here. These are not all 1 man operations, they are often

What do Lottery Post members do?
Sorry to hear that Lottetrybraker. I went back to work last July after 2 years almost to the day after I shattered my right femor. 5 operations on my leg and one on my knee. All the while I thought I had it bad. Still have alot of pain but live with it. I would imagine you have that same pain and possibly more.
Good Luck.

A Losers Lament
On your point #2, Indiana not only uses a bad RNG for drawings, but they are also very secretive about their operations, and don't answer all the questions that people send them. Further, there have been documented cases of insider fraud at the Hoosier Lottery (news stories posted at Lottery Post), so many people are naturally suspicious of them.I think the main point Jeff is making is that he has tried all those things you mentioned (and many more!) and is in a long luckless period that starte

Uncle Sam Wins Your Lottery
Selling your annuity for a reduced sum (reduced from what you would have got if you'd taken a lump sum to start with, otherwise how could these companies make money) to one of these sleazy hack operations strikes me a fiscal irresponsibilty compounded by knuckleheaded tax and legal advice (if she got any advice at all). This is one case when I side with the government. Whatever you choose live with it, pay your taxes, live within your means, save your money, and be thankful you have your days fr

New N.C. Lottery chief says integrity of games is important
N.C. lottery enthusiasts await Shaheen's position on dreaded computerized drawings issueChosen amid an ethical scandal involving lottery commissioners, the man picked yesterday as executive director of North Carolina's new lottery wasted no time promising games that will be run honorably, with low-key advertising. The key to a successful lottery is the integrity issue, Tom Shaheen told the N.C. Lottery Commission. But that's a word that is used rather loosely in the lottery industry. You can

N.C. lottery commission has full plate, rapid timeline ahead
Denny Bottorff said he'll never forget Jan. 20, 2004 - the day the Tennessee Lottery sold its first scratch-off tickets. It was like when your first child was born, Bottorff said. You get the same elation and satisfaction. The first and only chairman of the quasi-governmental corporation that runs the Tennessee Lottery, said North Carolina's new lottery board also will feel the same labor pains his panel felt as new games are delivered to players in North Carolina as soon as possible.Gov. Mike

Play The N.C. Lottery Over The Internet? It Could Happen
A year or so ago I was negotiating with one of the tribal casinos concerning some consulting work. During one of the meetings with management the discussion swivelled around to, first, on-line casinos as they pertained to Tribal operations, then to the potential for an on-line tribal lottery. This bunch were savvy on a lot of things about gambling, and this was one of them. There was general agreement that the tribe that tries an online lottery operation first is going to enjoy seeing the manag
