what do you like most about lottery post?Reply
I've been thinking about my favorite feature for the last few days, and whether or not the do a thread on it. Out of all the bells whistles here, I like the lowly member # the best. As more and more people join, it's just a matter of time before people have similar names (like some have the same avatar, now), either by accident or by stalkers, spammers, jerks.The more popular members are going to be likely targets because of jealously. The theory is questionable. First of all, the ping-pong ball has no concept of picks, quick picks, restrictions, or whatever. If the restictive number theory had a basis, those with preselected numbers would have the advantage. To the ball machine, a number is a number, all it knows is the first one down the tube wins; repeat cycle - kinda like sperm. I agree with what you're saying.The problems comes from the fact that the states have come to rely so heavily upon steadily increasing lottery revenue every year. Blame it on the state legislatures. So the lottery directors have to keep coming up with ways to continue increasing profits.The states have found that they make a large proportion of their revenue a couple times a year, when the jackpot in their big multi-state lotto game gets to the point that it gets the people who don't normally
