My idea of minimizing lottery fraud
What if every time you buy a a ticket, you have to slide in your ID to a machine and the machine will automatically print your name, address and whatnot on the back of the ticket? Only those whose name is printed on the back of ticket can claim the prize. This will prevent slimy clerks to take advantage of less savvy players. It will also prevent anyone else to cash in your ticket if you lost it or if yours is stolen. An added advantage is the lottery can help you automatically track

Playing every ticket from a machine.
Yeah, that little $2 ticket saved the day. They do that sometimes, although I rarely play them. But we have a new series coming out soon that will have a pretty decent $2 game, so I will give it a good shake. Funny how I do better on average with the vending machine challenge than I do on regular scratch ticket play. Why don't I do it more than a few times? Strange how it flies in the face of reason that buying blind and only 1 ticket each from a machine is a winning strategy, just can't trus

I think that this set a bad trend to post pictures of would be winners
If person already has that winning ticket, she is not would be winner , but winner. All depend on her having this ticket safe and presented to the lottery office. Sometimes people check their tickets, but on a wrong date, or even on a wrong game! Or they simply forget to check them, or, they have ticket for the game that plays every day, but they assume it plays twice a week, and check few days later on a wrong day. Sometimes while checking the ticket, people so much believe that they are not go

Do people have more luck just buying one scratch ticket at a time as opposed to buying 2 or more?
I usually buy 3 tickets in a row..i like to think the first one was the ticket before me, then the actual ticket I buy, and then the ticket after me, which may be the winner! I use the machine, sometimes and buy one, then another til I win..this is called chasing! I sometimes get a nice $100 winner out of this, but sometimes I get a face vaule prize..very frustrating after say buying 7 in a row.. I alos use to buy every ticket in the machine..just one of each..most of the time I l

Judge orders new trial in Arkansas lottery ticket suit
Duncan said she discarded the ticket after an electronic scanner told her it was not a winner. The state's Lottery Commission has defended the machine and says its equipment functions properly. If the machine was working properly, Duncan didn't have the winning ticket and maybe why the judge ordered a new trial. Unless Duncan bought the only ticket sold in that store, she can't prove the ticket Jones found was hers. Duncan should have know if the ticket was a winner by looking at the ticket

CRAZY LUCK !! Was taking to the lottery man at Publix this morning - he told me that a young guy who was waiting for his girlfriend to come out of work went to the 7-11 across the street for a slurpee and for some reason bought one $5 Heat Wave ticket. He won $5,000 !! Told the clerk it was the first and only ticket he ever bought !!! Second odd thing ! I'm still at Publix now walking over to buy a few from the machine. This guy is standing there looking at the machine and it says there is a

Arkansas woman loses bid for $1M lottery ticket picked from trash
Not saying anything is just as bad if not worse. Usually the cover-up is worse than the actually crime or mistake that was made from the onset. And we still do not know how this all came about. They never said if the woman said it or if it was just public information that made people aware of the circumstances in this case. But either way, if in fact their was an attempt to validate the ticket and the machine gave false information out, it is not the ticket holders responsibility that the machin

How many of you guys can turn a 'supposedly' quick trip to the store into a 1-2 hour scratching adventure? Went to Publix this afternoon to buy something for dinner and left there $700 richer. Pulled $100 from the ATM and lost $40 off the bat from the counter. So I had the clerk print me out the vending machine ticket count (yes it helps to know the clerks) and from that info I purchased a GRT from the #6 position of the machine. Ticket #2 $500 winner (2 coin stacks 50/100 and another $50 number
