Powerball & Megamillions Growing
OMG, again with the cap talk. People, the PowerBall isn't capped at $390M. If it rolls to $375M, there will be a cap of $400M. You people need to look at the INCREASE cap. Also, I think some of you are becoming obsessed with the cash value argument. It's already been discussed that PowerBall and Mega Millions each have their advantages. There's nothing wrong with someone taking the annuity option. You people need to be less comparative with these 2 games. They're not run by the same organization

Can Maryland switch to MUSL?
Cash i think Buddy Roogow is still the president of mega millions. i doubt he would jump ship. MEGA Millions is a proven winner in every state, stated Buddy Roogow, president of MEGA Millions. Every state has seen tremendous increases in sales and proceeds as a result of the big jackpots and excitement. A delay on MEGA Millions in California would be a disappointment for players everywhere and a lost opportunity for California. And Buddy Roogow currently serves as Chairman of

How Lottery Numbers Work?
imthelush...the answer to your question depends greatly upon which game is being played. Mega Millions, Powerball and CA Super Lotto Plus are variations of a Pick 6 game. They are 5/1 games, i.e. you pick a total of six numbers. For the 5/1 games you need to pick 5 numbers from a pool of numbers (56 for Mega Millions) and then 1 number from another pool of numbers (46 for Mega Millions). For these games it does not matter what order the first set of 5 numbers are drawn, just that you ma

I Got A Question
The two challenges that are put on every drawing of the week for both multi-state games are put up by Maddog10 with the Mega Millions challenge and Just6ntlc for the Powerball challenge. Mega Millions challenge allows you to choose from the numbers 1 through 56 and the Powerball challenge allows you to choose from 1 to 55 to get the first 5 numbers right. Record Jackpot - $448 Million
It is commonly understood that the record jackpot is $363 million set in May of 2000 in the Big Game lottery. Well guess what, the record was recently broken in the US with a $448 million jackpot. There were a couple of catches though.First, the cost of a ticket was $2.Second, and more importantly, the odds of winning the $448 million jackpot were astronomical. In fact the odds were something like 1 in 25,669,770,000,000,000.With those crazy odds, I calculated how much one would have to spend to
