Powerball jackpot jumps to $135 million
Sassy, Glad to hear it, good luck to your pool. In my opinion, yours is the best kind of lottery pool -- made up of friends who enjoy not only hoping for a big win, but also the friendly camaraderie of playing together.

Buying Mega Millions lottery tickets a strictly defensive act
The fact is that there will be lots of people playing in lottery groups or pools until the day they die or the game is discontinued and will never win big. Even when you play in a group, the odds don't change enough to make it worth sharing your one lucky day with a bunch of other people unless they are friends or family.(unless you figure you are actually sharing some else lucky day) As I see it, playing in a group or pool allows someone else to spend a lot of money on lottery tickets at your

$200.00 Powerball ticket
What you did sounds like what we do in my office for our lottery pool. Every payday Friday(which is every 2 weeks for us), each member puts up $4. From that money, we buy Powerball and Lotto tickets for the 4 draws that will take place until next payday. We've won a few dollars here and there, but never enough to even pay for the pool. We keep trying though. PrisonerSix

Mega Draw
I find that amazing. No pun intended. Each player is paying $400 to participate in the pool. I am in many Lotto 649 and Super 7 pools in Canada but I have never seen a pool with that high a cost to participate. Your math does not add up. If think you meant to say you are buying a total of 4000 tickets and not 3000.

Where is the $267m MegaMillion Winner(s)?
I think it could be a group of family members or a lottery pool. So they are deciding who gets what.-weshar75

Looking for Powerball Pool Player
First, the mere idea of going into a group pool with folks you never met or have no set provisions in writing is way shady. Anything saying that I have to *BUY* in to become a member just isnt my cup of tea. Had the poster said, contribute a set amount each play, that would have been more acceptable. Splitting a pot with 40 folks isnt inticing either. In order for any pool to succeed, the end result has to favor the group as a whole. I think the creativity of telling folks that if they send him
