Do you think that it will be possible for the PB Jackpot Winner to ...
remain anonymous even if he or she claims their winnings through a trust? I imagine there will be a greater amount of public interest in who wins the largest jackpot.

Powerball Jackpot - Best States In Which To Play
A state with both anonymous + No income/lotto tax is THE best. Looks like Delaware and Wyoming are good bets.

$400 MILLION: Powerball jackpot surges on rollover
Seeing how it now has a head start of 3 rollovers and is now picking up steam, is 1$ more than MM and now has worse odds maybe we will indeed get to see it post a new record, maybe even 850M-950M$, would be quite entertaining. A single winner had better be from on of the anonymous states.

Largest-ever UK Lotto jackpot has players... angry?
The winner(s) have the right to remain anonymous. They won't be paraded in front of the media, unless they are silly enough to want that. Winning, or sharing, such a large jackpot would be great, but it would be very difficult to handle in the full glare of the media. US lotteries please take note.

3 draws to go. Do you still think someone will win before 2016?
I live in South Carolina where winners can remain anonymous. With that in mind, I like to buy my tickets in SC. I work as a 48 state truck driver. I'm hardly ever in SC while I'm working. In fact, as I type this, I am in Texas. So, I have to buy multi-draw tickets when I go home for home time. That is what I mean by loading up. Plus, I said, I loaded up. It's kinda obvious what I meant when you look at thebizdude's comment to whom I was replying. I hope I win in every draw that I play. I know th

Are you ready for the attention?
I clicked Yes as my mouse scrolled across the screen and my finger twitched at that precise moment. However, I certainly would not have any qualm about sharing a billion dollar Powerball jackpot. You're right on the anonymity travelintrucker. Even in anonymous states, the nondisclosure only covers direct state lottery media releases. Someone could request the information through the Freedoms of Information Act and get the name of who claimed the prize. Though the lottery may try to protect the i

A VERY serious topic.
Yes, you can stay anonymous in SC. I was mostly talking about the pitfalls of sharing the windfall with relatives. Would it screw up their lives. Like a lot of people out there, I have relatives that have kids. Some with people they aren't married to. If they got a big chunk of cash all of a sudden, their exes could take them back to court to try to get more money in support. Those are problems they didn't ask for. Not to mention, some of my relatives hang out with some shady people. I wouldn't

New to the lotto community
Welcome travelintrucker. I can understand buying only in SC due to claiming anonymous. On the other hand you have lots of opportunity to buy tickets in so many different states. That would be pretty cool! Good luck on the travelin lottery! Hmmmm ...... Business plan?

Anyone have a system for picking numbers for the Jackpot.
Even before the Powerball matrix had changed earlier this month, it was difficult to win any significant amount of money in the Powerball game, let alone the jackpot grand prize. The odds are now 1 in 292,201,338.00! Not only that, but the game is totally random! I honestly believe that will never be a guaranteed way to beat the lottery. Each combination has a equal chance to win the jackpot, but there are 292,201,338 combinations! Most of the people who won the jackpot actually won by quick pic

HOT LOTTO DRAWING CHEAT CHARGED WITH RIGGING MORE JACKPOTS
I don't believe anyone anywhere can claim anonymously. AFAIK all lotteries vet the winners and make sure they don't owe child support, back taxes, etc. So the push from some of us to be able to remain anonymous (names not released to the press or the public) would not have allowed this man's cheating to go undiscovered.
