Virginia Lottery drawings moving from TV to Internet
I'd love it if Michigan would do the same. The local channel is supposed to broadcast the drawing from Detroit, midday and evening. In the past 30 days they have replaced the drawing with paid commericials at least 60% of the time. It is frustrating to be waiting for the drawing and have to sit through Shamwow commercials, and realize there will be no drawing broadcast that night. I end up going to the internet anyway.

I need someone to calculate the odds of this happening
Suppose you won tonight? I'm pretty sure that you wouldn't think your odds of winning again tomorrow night are 1 in 1 million, so (as I clearly noted) it depends on whether we're talking about somebody who hasn't won or somebody who has already won. If you've already won and you buy a single ticket for the next drawing the chances that you will become one of the people who won twice in a row are 1 in 1000. You may think the odds of that first win are 1 in 1000, but that's just as incorrect as th

The Mega Millions is Fixed
In MegaMillions, there is no hour cut-off time before the drawing, you can purchase tickets up to 10-15 minutes before the drawing in Ohio. I have cut it as close as 10:45PM even though some clerks have told me I still had 5 minutes. Some stores cut off sales earlier because they shut down their operations earlier while 24 hr. service stations sell tickets right through the drawings but their terminals start printing tickets for the next drawing 10 minutes before the present drawing. I suspect P

North Carolina 6/1- 6/30
OK blksaint, I thought I knew what I was doing, but now I'm confused. I have only been taking the current day's midday drawing and the current day's evening drawing and doing the workout. On Sunday, when there was no midday drawing, then I added the Sunday evening drawing to the next day's midday number. How many days do we add in the workout?? I want to make sure that I'm doing it correctly.

Kentucky Lottery raffle drawing date set
The Kentucky Lottery raffle game named after the date it was to be drawn on is now set to take place about a month later. Several state lotteries in the United States used the perceived lucky digits in the date 7/7/07 to hold special drawings and promotions on that day. The Kentucky Lottery promoted a special raffle drawing created for the date, calling the game Lucky 7's . As the date approached, it became apparent that ticket sales for the raffle were not high enough to support the d

Do you think lottery tickets should be sold 'round the clock?
In Ohio the terminals don't shut down for the drawings, they just start printing tickets for the next drawing 15 minutes before the drawing. Playing close to the drawing time, players take the chance that their tickets will be printed for the next drawing if the clerk is not alert and tell them.

Lottery declares 'foul' during evening Daily Number drawing
Pennsylvania Lottery officials declared a foul during the Thursday night Daily Number drawing. Thursday night's official winning Daily Number combination is 1-7-2. The first numbered ball in the combination, 1, and the second ball, 7, were successfully drawn. The third numbered ball was drawn into the selection chamber but fell back into the mixing chamber when a drawing official prematurely closed the drawing chamber before the ball was fully into position. At that point, a foul was called

If I reduce the MM or PB number pool by half and play 3o2e/3e2o...(?)
During the last 400 PB drawings (58%)233 times none of the winning numbers were in the previous drawing, (36%)145 times one of the winning numbers were in the previous drawing, (5%)21 times two of the winning numbers were in the previous drawing and one time three of the numbers were in the previous drawing. No need to calculate the odds when you can look at actual results.

how much do you spend on lottery?
Wow, I used to spend like crazy. I play only powerball. I have played both pick 3 and 4 a hand full of times but was not crazy about it. It is not odd for me to buy all the red powerballs in one drawing or play the same numbers 100 times or powerplayed every drawing. But now I have cut down to less than 10 bucks per drawing, more like less than 5 and I win just about every other drawing.
