The Anonymous Claimant POLL
Hypersonig....the ability to refuse the press conference varies by state. CA is like PA where you can refuse the press conference. In fact in July a Super Lotto Plus $100 million refused the conference and the lottery couldn't understand why. Also in California the lottery will only release your name and not the city in which you live. So if you buy out of town, you might be able to stay a little bit more under the radar. As far as a trust in California, you must identify a person as the pr

Ct. lottery ticket worth $3.5 million expires
CT purposefully does not release the name of the retailer until the ticket has expired. There is a law on the books that allows a person to claim a CT Classic Lotto jackpot without a ticket. So when your dog eats the ticket...if you know what numbers you picked...you've got your playslips, can identify other lines that you bought on the same ticket, you know that you bought the ticket the day before the drawing, around 7:20pm, at the Coventry Getty Mart....pretty solid proof for the lottery co

'Lucky guy' sells ticket that wins half of $42 mllion Lotto jackpot
Now that I've read the latest press release in Florida, either the clerk was telling the truth or it was a lucky guess. The winner is 26 and is a male. It doesn't matter, he blew it when he told a reporter he expected something. Maybe the winner would have quietly given him a gift to say thanks, but after reading the above article, I might stay way from that store for a while. Interesting comment the winner made, but it might be a misquote. He's 26 and said he'll never work again (as

Company proposes new pooling lottery ticket to fight 'jackpot fatigue'
According to their news release at: http://www.poolingplus.com/news1 RMS came up with the marketing idea and name and trade marked it. They wrote a program to do a web survey that lotteries can download but they are expecting lotteries or their vendors to write the software to make the idea work and I assume pay them a royalty fee for using it. In another LP thread a member asked how he could protect his intellectual property, share it and profit from it at the same time, reading this artic

Spain nabs con artists in major lottery scam
Not trying to be insensitive or anything, but.... It's really sad that there are people walking around who fall for this scam. I just can't imagine the thought process that allows them to think this is a good idea. They should arrest the fake lottery people. But they should also arrest the victims, give them a stern talkin' to and explain to them that the next time they do something stupid like this we will charge them for the resources it takes to protect them from their own stupidity.

Some new stuff is on the way
Just a brief update to let everyone know that I have been working on some new pages that should be ready soon. There are also several minor updates (general improvements) that will be sprinkled around the site. Those things you'll notice when you bump into them, but they are not completely obvious. For example, you'll be able to drag some windows around which previously were stuck wherever they opened. There are performance improvements and graphics improvements here and there. Again, not

Illinois Drawing 2-4-07
Rick G., Linda could have used your help last night... Pick 3 went fine, Pick 4 went fine, then it was time to draw the Little Lotto and she had just said, I hope you win this $150,000 , and when she pulled the lever to release the balls, nothing. She pulled it again, nothing. Then they showed the Technical difficulties message.

Check out Florida's Fantasy 5 Results
You beat me to it!! I was so surprised when I saw the 5 numbers come up last night. All under 10! I wonder if that's a record. Once there were 15 winners, although I would be happy with almost $13,800 for one dollar. (about $10,300 after taxes) On the other hand, winning $234,000 would be better. I want to add: Only 1 winner from Miami out of 17, which is very unusual. If the press release is correct, only 1 ticket was a QP. It makes sense, since many people choose birthdays.

Compromising on cash/annuity
CASH Only Lottery players rights just might be something you're assuming. I'm not sure there is such a thing. I'm pretty sure that simply by playing a ticket you are agreeing to things the way that particular lottery has them set up. In some states, when people do win, they are surprised to find out that the back of the ticket (not the playslip, the actual ticket) includes a consent form to a press release, and they have to sign the back of the ticket to claim their winnings.

Weekly Pick 4 (Jan 7 thru Jan 13)
I've been searching for a Pick 4 technique that I can live with for a long time now. If this one can stay above break-even consistantly, then I'll release the program and instructions for it in the near future.
