A Very Big Mistake In Tx
My brother-in-law waits until 15 minutes before draw-break to get a quick pick and his numbers. After looking at his qp he decided to pull a few numbers to play. Not knowing what he was doing, he decided to play a little extra on two numbers 708 and 509. He played those two 5.00 combo not knowing that 5.00 combo =5.00 times each six ways which was 30.00 for each number. Needless to say that was going to be 60.00 total for those two numbers. By this time it is 12:12pm and draw break is 12:14 and

Need Dream Help Please!!
I dreamed a policeman [swat] stopped me. He got out of his car and put on his bulletproof vest and loaded his machine gun as if he was going to blow me away. The he ran down this alley after this other guy that had a shotgun. I drove off and when I was inside my house the cop came to my door and just walked in and gave me a ticket for leaving.
Weird dream.
Number help and meaning appreciated
Thanks,
Mony

Why Quick Picks win...Hint: It's *NOT* what you think, folks!
Greg...as I make these comments please note I have not read The Lottery Solution, so any insight you can offer would be appreciated. As you mention a ticket in NY and CA are purchased, this specfic reply will be based upon the Mega Millions game.
You state the number of combinations to be sold is controlled . This implies a pool of numbers is offered for sale, while another pool of numbers is held back. Does this mean that all of the lottery machines in the Mega Millions states are linke

LP Member's Observations / "Laws of Lotto"
MegaWinner's Law of Opposites : That lottery machine is actually trying to match my ticket since I picked my numbers first, not the other way around lol!
Yes! This is why I don't like pre-tests, because humans are messing up the flow!
I always hear the comparison you have a better chance of being hit by lightning which is statistically true (especially in Florida) but you never read this news story:

Scratchers - counter or vending machine?
I have to say it depends on the place....but the #1 rule is... don't scratch 'em there.
Some vendors watch a guy/gal buy five of a ticket, scratch losers on-site and trash 'em. The seller will then buy one for themself hoping its a winner. Retailers know how many winners are in a pack.
That's life... but the machine gives a measure on anonymity and randomness. However, some counter vendors have a better selection.
Supermarkets have scratch-off machines near the candy machines. Se

More lotteries OR Scrath-Offs...
I like the idea of Chinese marching four abreast into the sea carrying plastic grocery bags with fortune cookies inside, winning number being selected by whichever one stays afloat longest.
They're the only nationality I've ever heard of spends their lives lined up four abreast marching into the sea. As far as I'm aware, nobody knows why they do it. Maybe they don't know themselves.
But, since it's happening anyway, it would make a great lottery method.
I'll admit it doesn

where do you purchase lottery tickets
A friend of mine buys his tickets from a machine at a supermarket chain. Never could understand that.
Another point to consider where to play your lottery...go with the guy who pays you. How many times have you gone back to the place that sold you the ticket, but they don't have the money to pay you for the win? My convenience store will go into the regular cash register and pay out in five dollar bills if they have to, but you get paid.
The owner of a similar convenience store I used

Illinois Pick 3 / Pick 4 Numbers Now
Has anyone ever hit this? This replaced Extra a few years ago, with Extra for an extra dollar you got a Pick 3 or 4 set of numbers right on your ticket, under your numbers - if you matched any (single digit) you won something instantly.
Extra was then replaced with this Numbers Now but with Numbers Now you have to hit soid - suppossedely if you doit makes the machine play the Illinois lotto jingle.
I've asked a lot of clerks if they've ever seen anyone hit this or the machines go off, a

New York Pick 3 History?
Thanks Lantern - I think someone is going to send me an excel file soon though. I'm trying to build entire histories for each states Pick 3...it's for a historical analysis of sorts and also state to state comparisons on many different aspects of the game.
I believe all draws are relevant, even those out past 3000 games - as there is always a fairly constant percentage of numbers that are not drawn within that time period. For me, trials are everything because that is what probability is base
