True Jackpot System Test welcomed
You are right,it is a profitable system.even if 5 winning numbers predicted in 20 numbers, all second prize will be far more than investment itself. The only problem with this system is not about jackpot making,it is that the investment is too much. I will do a personal website and test the system and see how many jackpots could be predicted in one day, then see how possibile it is to hold a lotterypool for most jackpot predicted lottery. Easier jackpots are easier to predict, but the priz

I'm going to track at least the first 90 days of 2008 to compare to last year, mostly for QP vs non-QP and jackpot amounts. As of Jan 2 '08, no winners yet. Tenn. Lottery CEO claims recent errors didn't hurt sales
In another article, battle between border states: Even so, the lottery had a smaller percentage increase in total education dollars in the fiscal year ending in June compared with the previous year, figures show. Total education funding increased about 3 percent this past fiscal year, compared with about 18 percent growth in fiscal year 2006, according to lottery data. Ms. Hargrove said one reason for the smaller increase in 2007 is that there were no Powerball jackpots that reached mo

Mega Millions Won :-(
I suppose it depends on how many of these $200 million jackpots a person has contributed to. It might seem reasonable to buy 50 tickets and maybe even somewhat justified because of what we could win until we have done it a few times. Eventually people will figure out that they weren't kidding when they say the overall odds of winning anything is 1 in 40 and they just donated 50 bucks. Last night my donation dropped to $10 and since the jackpot was won, I won't have to think about my next do

Estimates of the highest possible MM, PB jackpots this year.
2006 is winding down to a close. Both MM and PB have relatively low jackpots, sigh... Both have 8 more drawings in 2006. If the jackpot rises without being won in either case, here is the size I estimate they will be. In MM we are starting with a reset drawing. The last draw of the year would be an 8th draw. The average annuity value for 8th draws is $82M. My modeling program suggests an annuity value of $77M and a cash value of $45.6M. The probability of the jackpot getting t

Mega Millions hit again!
Here are the number of drawings per jackpot since the matrix change, starting with the most recent: 6, 3, 4, 5, 7, 14, 14, 15, 4, 9, 17, 16. The average number of draws is 9.5. A ninth jackpot produces a jackpot of around $100M, a tenth, 120M. It has produced jackpots as high as $315M. There have been nine drawings with jackpots over $200M. (All figures are annuity figures, in which people commonly think.) My models show that there is only a 50% chance of a jackpot reaching 7 dr

would you still play?
Well if Mega can't get it up so to speak then there are three choices. 1. Do nothing and watch sales tank. 2. Change the price of each ticket to $2 instead of $1. 3. Change the matrix of the game. In all three options people will complain. Option one results in complaints from participating states about low sales and players wanting large jackpots. Option two results in complains about the price conscience and the $1 players (who become $2 players). Option three gets the usual com

Anyone else thinking of Euromillions?
Todd points out the amount of MM/PB jackpot which might be comparable to that of the current Euro Millions, and Think talks about those figures in Todd s post recalculated as after-tax cash, suggesting that at that figure MM might be more attractive. I agree with each of both Todd and Think, to a certain extent. Honestly, I think that two are standing not so far from each other as they might look.First of all, Think s multiplier number (~.35=cash value ratio multiplied by (1-tax rate)) is very c

Middle Georgians have mixed feelings about California joining lottery
The chances of winning the Mega Millions jackpot at the beginning of this week were low, but now the chances are even lower.California became the 12th state to join the Mega Millions lottery Wednesday, bringing with it a population of 36 million to tonight's Mega Millions drawing. But even as California has joined the pool, that hasn't stopped Sharon Norton from playing. She said she keeps playing, hoping to hit it big and retire early. I think it's fine, said Norton, 39, an X-ray technician. T
