Why does the Mega Millions jackpot go up so slow?
When the Mega Millions jackpot resets after someone wins and it starts at 40 million, it only increases by 5 million each time it rolls over in the beginning. The Powerball jackpot however, increases by like 10-15 million each time it rolls over even after it resets to 40 million. So why does the Mega go up slower? They're both $2 tickets now so it can't be because of the money they pull in from the ticket sales, is it?
