One lottery ticket wins $110 million Calif. SuperLotto jackpot
You could be $110 million richer today. That is, if you are the one lucky lottery player who bought a Super Lotto Plus ticket with the numbers 2, 9, 12, 20, 34 and Mega number 16. The odds are one in 41.4 million, but someone has done it. Wednesday's jackpot was the best payout in four years and the sixth largest prize in Super Lotto history. The ticket was sold at the Foremost Liquor Market at 301 Monterey Road, South Pasadena. The California Lottery is expected to make a formal ann

convicted felons and lottery winnings
Quote: Originally posted by konane on July 1, 2006 Yes, absolutely they should be allowed to collect. They should receive a net amount after all state cost to incarcerate plus all other fines, restitution charges related to crimes they've committed. If there's anything left over then let them have at it. It seems to me that there was such a case some years ago and that person did receive his lotto winnin

Group Play Questions
I had considered it, but after reading all the negative articles (as RJOh mentioned) I think there might be too many problems. However, if I were a member of a pool I would definitely want a written agreement signed by all members. I would also want it to be mandatory that all members play every week or not at all. Many people don't have the extra money but, if possible, I'd want members to contribute the first of every month so the pool administrator wouldn't have to run around collecting the m

Does anyone know a website that reports cash values?
Hi, Prob88! Are you talking about current or previous jackpots? Maybe Todd or someone else here can answer this, but are most state lotteries pari-mutuel like Florida? The cash value for MegaMoney and Lotto never appear on the Florida website until someone claims the jackpot and there is a press release. Then you can figure out the payout which is usually 55-60%. Food for thought regarding anonymity....
I wish I could edit or clear my last post, since I just read a press release where PB winners won $85 million and stayed anonymous by having their lawyer claim it. So I don't understand all of the published rules on the NH website! Congratulations to our newest Powerball winners! said Rick Wisler, executive director of the New Hampshire Lottery. While we do enjoy the ability to meet our winners and help them announce their good fortune, we can respect the winners desire to remain anonym
