Clerk Prints Tickets Wrong @ $54 Loss to me
All fine and well and dandy......except that's not what happened.....
Occam's Razor says the numbers don't make sense. The clerk is at the machine printing a playslip with ten numbers in a row. Even at a glance, the purchaser knows that wasn't what he asked for. But then he tells the clerk he wants the same thing for Powerball.
Why would he want the same thing for Powerball when the clerk had already messed up the Mega millions ticket?

New York man wins $10 million after buying lottery ticket every day for decades

A 66-year-old man who's played the lottery his entire adult life is the newest lottery millionaire in New York.
Michael Marks has been playing the lottery in the same store every day since the 1960s.
That persistence paid off when he won a $10,000,000 prize on a $10,000 a Week for Life scratch-off ticket he bought while grabbing coffee at A-Plus in the Sunoco gas station at 17 N. Central Ave. in Hartsdale.

Looks like a ticket that someone would have with the folds in it. So that looks good

Australian man sues lottery for $3.3M ticket discarded decades ago
An Australian man is suing New South Wales Lotteries, saying a store clerk threw away his $3.3 million winning ticket more than two decades ago.
David Owen Renshaw said he entered an OzLotto draw in September 1997 by buying a ticket from Greenfield Park and when he returned a week later to have it processed the lotto terminal displayed the words provisional winner.
Renshaw said the attendant then informed him his ticket wasn't winner and threw it away.

Montana Lottery draws annual Montana Millionaire raffle winning numbers
The Montana Millionaire winning numbers were drawn on Friday, and the grand-prize-winning ticket worth $1 million was sold in Butte.
The million-dollar ticket number is 024279.
There were also three tickets worth $100,000 each; one was sold in Butte, and two were sold in Great Falls. The winning numbers are 023452, 083597, and 147877.
There were five $10,000 tickets sold; two were sold in Billings, and one each was sold in Glasgow, Laurel, and Hamilton.

CVS employee accused of stealing $1 million lottery ticket
An Illinois man claims in a lawsuit filed last week that a CVS employee stole his winning $1 million Illinois Lottery scratch-off card.
Carlos Figueroa claims in the suit filed in Cook County Circuit Court that he bought the winning ticket on Oct. 30 from a CVS Pharmacy in Waukegan. The address of the store was not immediately available.

A Kansas man who won a $50,000 lottery prize had to rush back to the store when he realized his winning ticket had accidentally been thrown away.

Lottery Complaint Investigators don't investigate anything
Buying any type of instant lottery game (ie. EZ Match, Fast Play, etc), in which the play area is fully visible, from a retailer is very risky. Always buy such tickets from a machine or subscription.
