Pool of McDonald's workers claims Mega Millions fraud
Frivalous lawsuit now enroute! More tax payer money and even the poor workers money going to a hopeless cause. A simple audit of the alledged Ladies accounts/financials will solve this. Hiding money offshore is no longer a simple task, and hiding it in and of itself is evasive...My advice is for the workers to buy a happy meal and get happy that they are alive, with loving families and life is way to short to cast stones into shallow water. The lawyers are the only ones that will come out with m

Honest: Idaho Lottery retailers pass 4-month security audit
Using undercover operatives and decoy high-tier winning tickets, the Idaho Lottery has concluded a four month investigation to protect the security and integrity of all its games. During the investigation, the Lottery evaluated cashing procedures of the decoy winning tickets at 128 of its 1150 retailers in 61 cities and towns across Idaho. The net result of the investigation showed that 100% of all Idaho Lottery retailers checked had met all of the security and integrity criteria. We believe

Illinois Lottery glitch causes many duplicate Quick Pick tickets
An audit found that some of the machines weren't clearing numbers out of their memories from the previous ticket issued, and that the old numbers were making their way onto the next ticket, Lang said. If I'm reading this right, once a combination is sold it should not be duplicated until all the combos are sold. If that's true, QP players are not actually getting random combinations from all the possibilities, but random from the combos not sold.

@Wooddrive - not sure about the 65+. When you file you enter your W2-G they send you in the mail, and you also enter your loses up to the amount of the win, if you can prove it. If you have a win/loss from a Casino, that works. If not, keep losing tickets aside and you only need them for an audit. Don't take them with you if you file your taxes somewhere. I do mine at home. Example enter your win of $2000 and loss of $2000, even if you have a loss of $10000.

Illinois lucky day lotto
I wonder if someone from Northstar went to a casino and heard one too many Have a Lucky Day announcements. Today's tickets say Tomottow's Little Lotto Becomes Lucky Day Lotto Same $1 Game, New Name . I hope that's the case but I just don't trust Northstar, here's why: Conflicts of interest mar selection of contracts for IL State Lottery Northstar Lottery Group won a 2010 contract to manage the Illinois State Lottery that could enrich the firm by more than $300 million over five years

anonymous vs. public disclosure
Well I think if one can just take off for a year that is great but a lot of people (maybe most?)have ongoing commitments and could not do something like that in an instant. For example if you are an artist, you may have contractual commitments two years in the future and cannot just walk away and disappear if you win the lottery. Or someone may be very active in their community and cannot just disappear. Or there are people in LP who run their own businesses and would continue to do so since the

Lotto tickets bought with bags of coins lead to bust in massive Metro theft
IT is DC METRO!!!!!!!!!!!! Another corrupt tax payer supported piece of nepotism and graft brought to us by the DC government thieves, these dummies were wanting a little bit of the booty. I demand a complete audit of all accounting, payroll, pensions and payments of all of DC METRO. These idiots can't even keep the escalators running, wreck trains, and harrass people for french fries. You can't make this up. Metro escalator service status

Are pre-draws corrupting your lottery strategy ?
All the live draws arent exactly live as we are led to believe ....they are taped....with all those pre-draws it seems as if the state lotteries can release what combination they want that has the lowest amount of payout.... I doubt they can do that having an independent audit agency certify the draws.

Professional lottery player wins tax dispute
Yep had the IRS audit me one time back in the 60s when I was self employed. Did not keep an accurate record of vehicle mileage to and from work. Nailed me for a whole $40.00 in additional taxes.
