Thanks for the info, Todd. I admit I'm way behind in computer technology. In the 80s I was so far ahead of my generation. I had a computer AND a car phone. Anyone have a time machine I can borrow?

New Lunar Calendar Feature Available
I added some new technology to the Lunar Calendar to make month changes happen quickly and smoothly, and without refreshing the whole page. Just thought the moon phase watchers here would like to know! (Plus I just think it's cool!)

Automated lottery number checker
I believe also, besides the terrific tools that are available here, many state lottery sites may have this technology, as well as a site called **don't post links**.com, but it's been a while since I've been there, I've been here exclusively with the Platinum Membership.

Good RSS or XML feeds for lottery numbers?
By the way, Lottery Post and USA Mega have a superior technology to most state lottery web sites, and when those other sites wither and go down under the pressure of traffic, both Lottery Post and USA Mega stay up and running. Also, both sites show the results as fast or faster than every other non-government web site on the Internet. Usually a few seconds or a minute after the official site shows the results.

real drawings and predetermined draws
I voted yes only because the technology exists to do so, and the question asks are they capable of doing that - but it is highly doubtful any lottery would ever actually do so. They'd be bringing down a stigma on themselves and every other lottery out there.
ok- this is why I saw the technology exists, and this was early 1980's - there were a bunch of bars in Las Vegas that all went in together on a very small scale video poker mega millions type progressive jackpot - a coin played in a p

Supercomputers & Integer Sequence and the LOttery..
I believe that in the future they are going to use supercomputers to find the distances between integer sequences in numbers and be able to predict the next numbers/integers...Once done they are going to use this technology on the lottery..Perhaps not the lotto machine but RnG's...I hope they succeed...Perhaps create an custom abbreviated wheel with let's say 15, 4of 5 matches (pick5), and use the known/played lottery integer sequences spaces (sort of the distance between one number footprint an

Poll - RNG, auditors and game fraud
(I'm aware this subject has been addressed before. I beg forgiveness.)
Almost all of you know a lot more than I do about computers and programming technology.
My general impression as a sub-novice in electronic technology is that no amount of 'oversight', no amount of 'auditing', no legion of disinterested observers could be expected to detect fraud prior to the draw (and probably not following it unless it's painfully obvious)
I'll hold off voting the poll until I see how the wind blo

Online gambling threatened by U.S. legislators
The bottom lines is that internet gambling is a billion dollar industry and congress needs every tax dollar they can out of gambling americans to pay for services. In it's very essence it is a form of control. Just like when americans find new ways through technology or advances to save money. You will find a politician introducing bills and legislation to tax that new form. It is just a simple way to control or enslave the masses.-weshar75

Maryland Lottery machine glitches frustrate players
Thermal paper technology is pretty old. The company I work for put out it's first microprocessor computer in 1980 and it had a small printer that printed on a roll of thermal paper. That paper was so sensitive that if you rubbed your finger nail hard and fast across it - there was enough heat produced by the friction to draw a line! I tried that with the current Maryland lottery ticket paper and nothing happened. I guess there were some improvements made in the last 26 years.
