If you won either the MM/PB JP: How soon would you claim your prize?
I'd have to to set up trusts and take care of some issues for estate and such. But if there was a way to stay anonymous I would take that option I don't want anyone to know how much money I have it's none of their business to be honest.

Record Powerball jackpot won by 1 ticket
A blind trust would prevent the winner from knowing how their money was being invested by the trustee. People talk about ways to remain anonymous, but I really believe most of us would take the chance of our names being known rather than not knowing how our $222 million after tax winnings are being invested. The winner can form a regular trust but their name will be published. With this amount of money if the winner wants to spread it among his family members, a trust would be a very good

Mega Millions multi-state lottery to get harder to win in Oct.
When all states allow winners to remain anonymous some clod will want a press conference. I'm a clod who wants a press conference.

$360 MILLION: Powerball jackpot raised on huge sales
Another thought I had in regards to Jill's post is if you live in a state when you can remain anonymous when claiming I don't see a neccessity to move ASAP. But I totally agree with taking several weeks--or longer--to get things in order.

EuroMillions lottery winners to build unusual home
I don't understand why they went public in the first place. The UK lottery allows winners the remain anonymous. Judging from how they are spending their new-found wealth, it will soon be frittered away, and then people won't bother them anymore.

Have you won a big JP?
From what I've read, the majority of active LP members want to remain anonymous so I doubt they would want to go into detail about their jackpot win. I sort of doubt a poll would produce 100% honest answers either. We had a member claim they won $1 million in a raffle by purchasing their ticket on the last day, but none of the $1 million winning tickets were sold on the last day. When that was pointed out, they never posted a follow-up explanation. But there is no harm in asking or starting a

is anyone making an income from lottery
You're confused, Cajun mentioned a casino site, not a Gamblers Anonymous site. Some people just don't get it and you're apparently one of them. Casino players aren't interested in the comments by non-casino players just like lottery players aren't interested in comments by non-lottery players.

Would you remain Anonymous or have a Press Conference after winning the Jackpot?
I'm playing in Kansas, which allows you to remain anonymous ... so nobody would know that I won. As much as I would like to, I wouldn't even tell the few people that I would like to rub it in theit faces, because I know that in reality, it would be best if **NOBODY** knows about it.

Woman wins $40M, not $40K, sparking wild celebrations
Hey I believe in rejoicing with people not rolling my eyes in disgust wishing they would fail. I am truly happy for this family. I hope they take self defense courses buy a lot of firearms and get superb firearms training as well. Thank God for the 2nd Amendment. For the people that may try to invade their homes and cars at gun point to rob them. I get why the lottery dont want people to remain anonymous, but I dont like it! when I win I am wearing a disguise and I wont purchase things in my bir

$320 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot goes through the roof
In NJ you cannot currently be anonymous, although that will be changing soon: https://www.lotterypost.com/news/258629 Maybe the winner should just wait for it to become law before claiming the prize.
