Changes coming to Powerball multi-state lottery game in January
The new Powerball game will still offer players nine ways to win prizes, with its second prize moving up to $1 million in cash from the current $200,000, and the lowest prize level (for those who match just the Powerball) being elevated to $4 from $3.
My apologies, I overlooked the highlighted statement above from the article, thanks a bunch Rdgrnr for pointing it out to me, had to read it all over again (slowly lol). From the new discovery, I retract the previous statement I posted Powerball

$200M Powerball lottery jackpot won by N.Y. Costco workers
I'm sure anyone who tried to pull something like that would get caught. The verification process takes at least 6 weeks. Even if someone did manage to collect the money with no one noticing, they would basically have to flee the country because if they didn't, they will get caught eventually.
There is an old article on LP about a Canadian store clerk who claimed a winning ticket for himself and was caught two years later.

Can prayer affect the outcome of a lottery
You are right Mario. I misunderstood your intentions. Does the name of Jesus Christ offend you?
You referenced another discussion. In the article was the synonymous contextual use of: God, Jesus
and Lord. They are not synonymous so in regards to prayer and the news article and
comments that prompted your info quest, get over it.
If people want an effectual prayer life there are rules to follow and conditions
to meet. One condition is to understand HOW it is done. A precondition to

Another Lottery Changed My LIfe Marathon
I looked through the ones I have recorded, it's in the Island Dreamers episode, her story is the start of the second half. I actually found an article posted here on LP about her.

Colorado newspaper prints wrong lottery results; couple thought they won
MSNBC article reads: It pays to doublecheck those lottery numbers if you want to avoid heartache. Yet, I bet they did that!!!
The best plan is to doublecheck MULTIPLE SOURCES (e.g., online or paper newspaper, retailer's instant customer check machine, lottery phone#).

Tennessee's biggest Powerball winner keeps low profile
This is my first post to LP. I have been reading your comments for about a year now and decided its time to join in on the fun.
I thought it was commical that the article is about how they keep a low profile, yet they are in the media reminding everyone that they had won a few years ago... Good job maintaining that Low Profile!

Is your State A Lottery Happy States
I downloaded the annual report too. In 2010 the gross profit percentage was 19.3% on gross sales of $97.5 million and players prizes and bonuses were $66.2 million. That's 68% not the 15% reported in the article.
Even if those figures include the racetracks and casinos which the state commission runs, the figure is still over 65%.
